Hey guys. I want to participate in the GB for the ZZP head/downpipe combo and the exhaust but I have a few questions first. I'm new to modding so the sizes are a bit confusing to me. I understand the concept of the new parts/why the work/what I am doing but I'm not sure of the sizes. I want to get all 3 items in the GB but I don't quite know what size is best. What's the different between the 1.5, 1 3/4, and 1.75 (which is 3/4 but is listed as a 1.75 for some reason) and which do you recommend for use with the ZZP exhaust system? In addition, why is there a catback option in the header/DP combo? I thought that was dealing with the exhaust...

Sorry for the noobish questions. Any help would be appreciated so I can join in on the great deal

Anyone have an idea how much the shipping cost would be? Does ZZP charge a flat rate or go by ZIP?

 

I believe they will go by whatever they use on the website. Do a trial run on the site, I came up with about $20-$30 for shipping when this started.

 

i'm just going to try and go pick mine up. it's only a 2 hour drive along a scenic route

 

2 hr drive means a 4 hr drive roundtrip...add the "scenic route" means i'm gunna do 80mph....means 4 hrs +80mph=the quivalent of shipping in gas.....are my calculations correct?...hehe

 

Still a little concerned about the two bolt flange. Larger grade 9 studs will put the pressure on the flange for the header and downpipe. Shouldn't be a problem on stainless though.

 

I think the consensus has been that the two bolt design is the reason we need the upgraded bolts, but that once they are upgraded and tightened correctly, then there are no problems.

 

The new ones ship with those revised 1/2" bolts.

 

anybody know this for sure?? i know there was a lot about the bolts breaking and what-not. Are the new 1/2" bolt Grade 9??

 

If you read on their website it has a small section about upgraded bolts to 1/2 grade 9. Also I think Zooomer made a post about it as well.
