Your phone is great, it looks like a browser infection by malware. That can occur when an ad partner serves up an ad (anywhere on the net) that has been hijacked. They usually don't continue as Google eventually removes the ad. I have had similar issue over the years and use Malwarebytes to remove them. IB is trying to track down the source of this one. I have this all the time on one particular website but have been seeing it more and more.

It's either an app on the phone with too many permissions or it's an advertising source on the website you are browsing.

It is not a virus on the phone itself.

 

It is definitely from their ad server. Install an adblocker and the problem disappears.

 

It only happens on this site too

 

I have this pop up on one particular adult website i visit, but that's expected lol.

But again, it's an ad not a virus.

 

was browsing the site on my phone today and after about 5 minutes i started getting this happening again. im on a samsung galaxy s7. i was trying to open a thread in the wheel and tire section when it happened.

 

Thank you for letting me know, I will pass to IB. I do know it's a 'whack-a-mole' effort by both IB and their ad partners to remove browser redirects from bad ads.

It happened again once last night. I tried refreshing to see the ad that caused it but I couldn't reproduce it. May have been a fluke. I'll post again if it happens.

To be fair I did post a while back the ridiculous amount of back end scripts this forum runs (and I block most of them).

Bob there was a link to this sight for a forum discussion that was posted on SS gang on Facebook. When I clicked on the link I had the same add pop up as Luis showed above.

 

It's happening random now.

 

This time it was a Jared Jewelers ad
