2.8 or 2.9 will be fine. My friend was on a smaller one with his 2.2 and he makes 292whp

Depends if you want to ride on the ragged edge or not. Alyssa's friend making 292whp on a stock 2.2 is one tank of bad gas away from a bent rod. It's nice to have a little factor or safety when going for power for when conditions are less than ideal. You should be very reliable with a 3.0 pulley as you are running 91 octane. I would see how much ignition timing you can run without knock on a 3.0 pulley before thinking about stepping down to a 2.9. Below a 2.9 is rolling the dice on 91. Some have made high power on stock internals but that does not prove reliability or longevity as others have had failures at lower power levels.

I brought up the 292whp because he’s not going to be near that on a 2.8 or 2.9 on regular gas. He will be sitting around 230-240whp. That’s a safe number.

What gauges should I throw on the pillar? Boost and A/F? Boost and WT? Boost and Oil press?

I can only find dual pods for the pillar so I'll need to stick a AF gauge somewhere if not in the pillar. Is there a gauge needed for the IAT2? What gauge is needed is there a supercharger temp on? I really have no idea.....can I just put a v8 in and stop asking questions....loll the is for everyone's help though.....greatly appreciated.

Interceptor and wideband. And you can’t monitor iat2 if you’re using your stock map sensor. Need at least the lsj sensor

the map sensor in the blower inlet is the "inlet pressure sensor". that wont be used on your car. there is a map sensor on the top of the intake manifold, thats the one you need to wire in. its a t-map sensor, meaning its both a temp sensor and a map sensor.

Your IAT2 temp is monitored on the intake manifold on the LSJ. It isn't the sensor that mounts to the supercharger kneck in between the supercharger rotors and throttle body.

Edit:When I was typing sharkey hadn't posted yet

So just leave the supercharger one installed to plug the hole and that' it? For a clean install I'll get a harness that forts it and plug it but not attach the harness yo power or ground....just make it look clean.

Can anyone confirm a 2.8 pulley will be ok on a 2.4L with LSJ supercharger, manifold, throttle body, 60lb, 3" cold air, (I will buy head and down pipe within a month or 2) to hook up to stock exhaust, dual pass endplate, LSJ s3 heat exchanger. And option b, 91 octane.....

one member I trust their guidance on here says a 2.8 will be fine I just want to get that confirme so i do t waste time or money looking for and buying one.....its early 07 with the good stuff inside and 77xxxmi

It may be fine, it may not be fine. No one can guarantee you won't have issues. What you may end up with is your tuner having to overcompensate by retarding timing and then you are running your supercharger at a less efficient rpm just to add more heat with no real power gains over a pulley a size up and more ignition timing. It's up to you how close to the edge you want to be.

Then why are you asking for more opinions? If you really trust that member, go with it. I have supercharged two 2.4L Cobalts and both have 2.8 ZZP pulley systems on them. The 3.1 to a 2.8 gave me 2 more psi of boost.

I did this with a 3.1...

There are no guarantees when it comes to boosting your car. We also don't have a good statistical figure to give you on your chances of damaging your engine internals. One thing everyone agrees with is 2.8" pulley is the limit on 91. Do you want to run at the limit? The choice is yours.

You can always go down a pulley size later on if you are feeling randy. Do you have the ZZP hub that allows you to bolt on different size pulleys easily?

The 2.8 I was gonna order was a modular one...came pulley and hub....so maybe I'll buy the kit with both those and a 2.9 and if I don' want to go down to 2.8 I'll sell it

you mentioned your going to start off with stock exhaust, manifold and downpipe, thats going to be a restriction. you can run a 2.8" on it, but again, thats on the edge. myself, id put a 3.0" pulley on it and get it tuned and everything sorted out, and down the line after you change the exhaust and such, then swap pulleys.

and honestly for 91 octane, i wouldnt run smaller than a 3.0" pulley without water/meth injection. thats just me, others will disagree, however i feel the added benefits and safety margin water/meth adds is well worth it.

NOthing wrong with be cautious. But they are right, nothing is garunteed when you boost a motor. You could be just fine or the opposite. All cars are different. I’m one of the people that didn’t have an issue with the 2.4 and a lot of boost. I was on 22psi on the stock motor.

Just do the 2.9 pulley and 60lb injectors. I been running my 2.2 LAP (some consider it the weakest ecotec) with 2.9 pulley and 60lb injectors for about a year and a half. Rarely do I push the car nowadays but has been running fine since. It's making about 15 psi and pulls great. Been thinking of going e85 but I want to keep my motor alive as I just got 67k miles lol

LSJ heat exchanger

So just wondering if anyone can tell me if the LSJ heat exchanger will fit in between my a/c condenser, and rad. My friend sent me the H/E and a large plastic valance with 2 upright brackets. If not how should I mount it? I'm running Dual H/E the stock one, and a ZZP FMHE.
