changing bulbs isnt going to void your warranty at all.

WHy do people fear warranties soo much... listen its simple if you change it its void thats thats nothing else. Obviously if you put HID's into your car dont go to the dealer if they blow but if you motor stops working the next day they arent going to be like sorry you changed your headlights.

HID's without a projector retrofit are a TERRIBLE idea. I feel sorry for all oncoming traffic. Plus the fact that if they are 6000K odds are they are cheap knockoff bulbs.

OEM HID for Acuras/Audis/BMWs is all 4100-4300K. The purple/blue color comes from the projectors.

yes they were 285 bucks from xenonking.com, great people to deal with, VERY VERY easy to install, installation is on their site, no wire splicing or anything, the way the cobalts headlights are shaped project the light pretty good onto the road and it isnt very spread out to the sides, in return not blinding the oncoming traffic, i had my friend drive past me at a few different angles and the light never shined in my face, so im not too worried about it, the other thing is cameras cant capture how awesome the street lights up from them, its soo white and just amazing, very worthwile mod, i have some more pics here they are

$300 is pretty expensive for an un-needed bulb replacement... but hey, it looks great!

no its not just bulbs, its an actual HID set up, with the ballasts and transformers and bulbs, it looks much better in person probably one of the best things ive ever done with any of my cars. i had just upgraded bulbs in before and i thought they were clear and bright, then i did the HID kit and i dont think i can ever use normal bulbs again, plus 300 is cheap for HID kits, just look for yourself, i was lucky and caught a group purchase deal from jbody.org. i had eurodezigns bulbs in before, they are nothing compared to these HID's and in my cav i have silverstars, and they look yellow now

The lower the "K" or correctly known as Kelvin’s does not mean the brighter they are. Kelvin’s are a measurement of temperature of a light source. I specify fluorescent bulb by Kelvin’s also, it's not just HID. Also HID include metal halide, High-pressure sodium, and sulfur bulbs. Normally these are used for area lighting, i.e. parking lots. Yes they are using metal halide bulbs in cars now because the cost for the ballast and bulb has come down so much. Back to Kelvin’s..... The lower the Kelvin the more red to yellow the light color is. The higher the Kelvin’s the more blue to violet the color is. Ideal color range (other wise known as white light) is between 3600-4800 Kelvin’s. Halogen bulbs are the closes manufactures have been able to make "white light". There are many reasons car manuf. use halogen besides white light, cost, lumens per watt, and so on. Yes metal halide (HID) is better lights if used correctly. I am astounded daily on how many lumens a metal halide bulb can make per watt, and they last about 3-4 times longer then an incandescent (halogen) bulb. The only real down about metal halide is the color and cost

Wrong. The brightest HID's are about 4100-4300K

not to **** you off but I must repeat this..... Kelvin has nothing to do with brightness, it deliniates color range. Brightness is deliniated by lumens, which is closely related to wattage.

the less color in the light, the more white light it puts out, meaning brighter
