Sorry to bring up such an old thred but I'm looking to see how I do against an SS stock or not near Flint. I see a decent amount of SS's but no one will run me.

What year and mods on the GTO? Depending on that and the mods on the SS/SC will be the deciding factor.

p.s...... why the hell do GTO owners seek out SS cobalts? go find a Camaro or an SRT-8 to get owned by..

Cause they can't hang with em unless they have some pretty good mods. Sorry, the 04's need em. Stock 2000 Camaro Z28 will run the 1/4 in 13.3 all day long.

Not too many cobalts around michigan run faster then an 11.5 Sounds like its a waste of time if your car runs that fast.

 

I know a guy that lives in flint, Mi half the year that would love to race some guys with his MR2.

 

Does he go to kettering I think I may know who he is?

No it's ok. It would be a waste of gas to drive 2-3 hrs for a race that would be over in 2-5 seconds. The only way I would consider it is if you were a mid-high 10 second street car (I will be) by Sept. when I could make it down. Thank you though!

Come on Rod putting up a post like that makes me think you are putting on twin turbonators. I would expect that out of a high school student but not somebody who is putting TT on his car and has a vast knowledge of his engine.

 

Perhaps you now know how it sounds (which was my intent) when you want to run Cobalts, the stock ones, with your GTO.
It grows a bit old considering the other GTO thread that was just locked and I know you know which thread I mean because you were there too.
