Hey guys, looking for next car.....
Well, first post. New here. i have a Chevy Berretta and its time to trade this old car in i think. i'm thinking of getting a Cobalt SS but not sure if everyone is liking them. i want something that is clearly faster than my car now but roomy enough for the baby momma and the baby. I would like the 4 dorr but i think it doesn't come supracharged or whatever but i kno i want that BAD! My main question to you all SS guyz is that dos your inside have enuf room to be happy over a long amount of time because i keep my cars for a long time so it has to be something versatil for me and my fam. Also would like to kno wut cars I can plan to beat up on in my SS? I want to beat alot of them out there. How fast can these be? I also heard from my friend that there is going to be a twin turbo SS come out next year around 300whp and a six speed as some sort fo dealer upgrade option or soemthing. Is this true?!! I hope so
. Anyway, just saying Aloha and if you could answer that would be gr8!!

It's a fast car; I think it's enough to keep most people happy. Gravana is working on a twin-charged version of the car, but it won't be available to the public. GM is rumored to be making a stage 1 and 2 upgrade kit for the Cobalt SS/SC. Stage 1 is said to produce in the 230-240hp range, and the stage 2 to be 280hp.
It is a 2 door coupe, so you can expect it to be tighter than a sedan. I would not classify this car as a "family car". You will probably have issues with room if you plan to shuttle kids and a wife around on a daily basis.
I am happy with how much room is provided, but that's just me and everyone is different. I would suggest test driving one to get a first hand feel of the interior and performance.
As far as which cars it could beat, you can check on other threads here to read about individual races. The main competitors to the Cobalt SS seem to be: modified Acura RSX-S, SRT4, and 2000-2004 Mustang GT to name a few.
