Reign, I know what you're saying. I'm just saying that these kinds of sigs are going to promote disagreements and people are going to want to respond. Why bait people into e-fights when you can't have them?
hence the ban on political threads. If we removed every offensive thing on this forum we'd have political correctness........and we all know how ******* lame that is. Happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas. Get over it. If it bugs you that bad that you can't obey the rule and resist the urge to make a thread about someones sig... then sign off and don't come back. You can't tell me that someone's sig is that offensive that it makes you want to make a thread about it.

Well since the topic is about rules... I'm still of the opinion we should talk about politics, and instead of banning the topic, ban the specific people who get out of hand.

And I'll use this example for the 1320934930th time... If you get caught smoking pot at a concert, do they close down the concert, or kick out the pot smoker?

Banning politics was a last resort, we tried public and private warnings, issuing infractions, suspending, banning, locking, deleting posts, everything. But no matter what threads got out of hand, so the only thing left to do was remove the topic from play. There was a long public debate about this before the rule went into effect, everyone had there chance to speak there peace about it.

Now, back on topic.

Then so does yours, because some people like GF threads...

(See where this is going, and where it always goes).....

Everybody always thinks their opinion is the correct one, but really, as everyone should know, we are all entitled to our own opinion and a signature is simply stating their opinion and not trying to force it on anyone. If people TRULY understood that, we would have no problems.

I see sigs as bumper stickers

People getting into fights over sigs is the same as running someone off the road because you disagree with their bumper sticker

it's stupid and childish

my point was not directed at you i used your sig as an example, there are 2 sides of the coin to everything, if everyone wants to point out alleycats sig specifically i can just as easily point out a sig with the exact opposite standpoint and say it's gotta go too. this will lead to endless things being censored from this sight.

Exactly..

So everyone take note: We now have two people (Alleycat and I), with the exact opposite opinion in our signatures, and we can still agree on something and be civil and not hate on each other over a simple opinion. So +1million invisble rep to Alleycat

Some political threads had no bashing and people were simply stating opinions without forcing them on anyone else, yet those were banned. So your argument is valid, but has no bearing on CSS.net.

No it does have bearing... It's the same reason certain members gets so worked up when someone says things like "I'm not feeling the stripes on your car".

People give their opinion, and someone take it personally. Whether it's politics or religion or anything.

What I meant to say is that I agree with you, but the decision to ban political threads was made illogically.

Taking stuff to PM's doesn't work with Alleycat. I've expressed my concern over her statements. In turn, she told me to go **** myself.

I tend to agree with her that what she puts in her sig is none of your business as long as it complies with forum rules. If you don't agree with her political views then I suggest you act like a big boy and get over it because it doesn't look like you're gonna change her mind.
