they have the option to search by tags in the search screen. is that not what u are talking about?

 

No I am talking about custom tags. It will help the search go alot easier. Tagging a thread at the bottom of the page always you to look up lets say uh oh blown motor as a tag that was tagged to that thread, you can years later go back and look it up easily instead of digging through 300 pages and still not finding the thread you were looking for.

You make a thread, and tag it. And you should be able to add tags to any thread if you feel they are appropriate.

Interesting... I'll have to ask the Admins about user permissions to add tags

 

Word from the admin is that Regular Users cannot add/edit tags to any threads (including their own), Premium/Platinum Members can add/edit tags to their own threads.

I'm working on getting those perimeters modified.

 

Thanks reign it will cut down on a lot of repost questions and threads.

Premier & Platinum members can now tag others' threads, and Registered members can now tag their own.
