Things are coming along! After an insane November at work we come to a screeching halt in December which leaves me with 2-5 hours of free time most days. Seeing as how this is the 2nd, i've worked on it for 2 days. I'll probably upload & download them to home this weekend so i can post it up soon.

Feel free to stop in to hump Jon, he probably wouldn't mind Mapquest says you're about 2 hours & 20 min away, a doable drive for some fun!

I've had these almost a week now, may as well post.

There's a few basic rules about logos - they should work in black & white as well as color, look good as small as on a business card or as big as on a truck. It should be easily read too.

That said, here's my black & whites.

Here are examples of color versions. It can go 1 or 2 color. I was showing combos mainly in blue & orange, so i put in the red to show what it looks like in another color.

Watermarked for my protection

Good job guys!

Stargrrrl:
So many to choose from, I am still trying to decide which one I like best. Which one is your favorite?

SenenCito:
Do you think you can mess with the lines on that a little more? Some of them are looking a little sharp. And I would love to see some of the SS colors on it.

Dman
I have an idea. Try a black and white photo of the cat with only the orange turn signals and the bowtie in color. That might look interesting. Also try some more fonts The image with the SS emblems is a little hard to read.

Voodoosoup
You still working on this? I really like what you started with. Try some lower and uppercase letters as well as more “brushed flavors” It would be cool to see it diamond plated as well

Jeff
Make something damn it!

Also, how would each one of you incorporate your work on a shirt? The shirts are going to have one large image on the back and a small image on the front.

Thanks a lot guys. Keep it up. Lets make so me bad ass shirts.

If you check out the black and whites, you'll see all the different designs. From there, I took my favorite 3 and just worked out different color schemes. So, you can say I've got 3 favorites. As for colors, a black & 1 color combo is my favorite. I think it looks solid & clean that way.

As for the shirt, i'd just put the logo on it. If there was an event, then that information could be added. I guess i can show by example what i can do, but with only a logo, that's what i'd slap on it

You can check out the shirt i did for J-Body Magazine, it's towards the bottom on the right, the honeycomb design. There is a front & back there.

I did some other shirts for meets when i was in a club, you can see front & back designs for one where i had complete freedom of design...

For another where i was pretty much directed on what had to be done, the front was

the back was

If you want to see anything else, post here and i'm sure to find it tonight when i'm at work doing nothing, midnight-8am!

I like these 3 best:

Although the all blue one is my favorite, it would be nice to see one of those in all orange. I like how your design emphasizes CSS and you used our theme colors (blue and orange)

So yea, if your bored, lets see one in all orange and maybe one where you change the SS’s the a different font. Maybe something to resemble the SS badges?

Oh one last thing, maybe make the C fade on all those 3 like you have it on the 3rd all blue one?

Here's the latest with labels to explain what each line is

The reason that none of them have the "C" fading out is because none of the ones selected were reversed out. Without a colored area behind them, there is no way to really fade the C and make it look right. The only thing similar that i could do for that is to make a small gradient to white on the top part of the C, but it would look kind of goofy. Below is an example, you'll see that the fade doesn't really do anything except make the "C" less important

Doubt you're up now, but i'm available to do changes every Sun.-Thurs. nights midnight-8am the following morning most of this month.

Nice job starrgrrrl.

About the fading, I was actually referring to the thing around the C that looks like a big C, not the actual C in Cobalt. Sorry about the confusions

Ah, gottcha now. It's suposed to be a partial wheel. I would have done it 5 spoke like the SS has, but for the design, it was just too open & lost it's character with part missing like i have it now. I'll do the latest versions tonight at work & they'll be here by tomorrow morning.

Of the three that Jonel circled, I really like the middle one with the blue "Cobalt .net" and the red "SS". And if that orange wheel behind the "C" of "Cobalt" could be faded out I think that would look awesome.

I wasn't sure exactly which round you wanted bigger, so i went with the last ones that were all the orange fade.

Hey guys whats up, here are a couple of ideas I came up with for the logo contest. I wanted to do something with a boost gauge but I can't find a good picture of what it looks like. Any comments are welcome.
