Edit For Sale rules

I think that everything for sale should have pictures, regardless, and be up to standards of all the rules to post something for sale.

If an item is not posted in the correct format, they have 2 days to fix it, or the item is removed in which they have to make a new one.

eh?

They need to show pictures soi that those buying can see condition of the parts. What is someone is selling the stock splitter for an SS/SC and has no picture. You buy it (trusting that it's in good condition) and you get it and it all scraped up and clips are missing etc. It protects the buyer and helps to ensure that the seller discloses the true condition of the part...

it's not about what they look like, it's about whether they actually own it.

Hell it's an ebay requirement on high end products, why not here for car parts that cost hundreds and thousands of dollars.

would be easier just to post them in the origional post and save everyone A LOT of time...

What's so hard about posting the pics in the post if you have the pics to send the potential buyers anyway and you have nothing to hide?

that reflects on the character of the seller
I'm not against the rule, but it's kinda redundant

I think pics need to be required in the origional post. it's 2008 everyone has a camera or at the very least a camera phone.

Thats why, if they dont have the post up to standards with pics and complete info that is stated in the rules, they have a few days to fix it, other wise it is deleted, then they have to make another one with pictures if they still want to sell it.

what's the big deal...really. if someone is selling something that you want to buy then ask for a pic. if they don't send you one or post one then don't buy it. end of discussion.

right-on
if someone isn't motivated enough to post a pic, you might not want to buy from them, who knows how long it might take to get your part

also, not everyone has a camera, lame excuse, but true for some

i think the OP started this thread because of the FS thread I posted yesteray. i did not include a pic of my brand new never used TTR tranny mounts that i am selling (because you either know what they look like or can go to TTR to see a pic)(saving myself time cuz i was busy doing other things). but someone did request a pic...i took the time to take one and post it. if i woudn't have then dude prolly wouldn't have bought them...he didnt' anyway so it doesn't really matter. if someone buys without seeing a pic for proof then thats their own fault. that's my 2 cents.

No I started it cause someone mentioned it in workchat.

If you guys dont think they should require pics, thats fine, Im not gonna buy anything on here unless its something either cavi related or universal. I was just looking out for you guys. I know there has been several threads "Dont buy from him" "I got scammed"

I would even go so far as to say " Picture of item and written username on paper" for verification that the person HAS the part, and its not some picture they found.

that's the thing though. anyone buying anything from a person over the internet is taking risk picture or no picture. if verification is something you desire before buying from someone on here, then just ask them to do so...and again, if they don't then don't buy it.
it's very unfortunate that some peeps are ******* tool bags and scam others but there's nothing that's going to stop that. it'll continue for all eternity.

prostitution it is right? couldn't she technically get arrested for this? selling sex is illegal last time i checked. pics a must nonetheless.
