Front Page Stickys For Grp meets
i know we have regional sections, but i think once there is an official meet thread posted it should be stickied somewhere on the front page where people can see it as soon as they visit css.net. just a suggestion, but i think it would draw a larger attendance to the meets
AGREED 110%, other forums have them and they are used all the time. How would they be divided? By large regions, states? Maybe by states and subregions
example:
The Offical California Meet thread:
So Cal
Nor Cal
etc....

You can put your group meet on the calendar, then it's on the front page when the time for the meet gets closer.
As for my suggestion, I noticed there was a section where you could create a group. It would be really nice for us members to have the ability to do that. I know the Pittsburgh/Greensburg crew gets together like 4 or 5 times a week and it'd be nice to have our own group to discuss getting together instead of making 5 billion threads in the regional section...

We hardly use the site anymore though now that we have each other's phone numbers. If the mods do something like this, someone would have to constanlty be updating it because if an old one is stickied still, someone might be at a meet by themselves. As long its updated and constantly being looked at, it would be a geat addition.

Well the thread would be an ongoing meet, so members could discuss in there how the past meet went, and plan on who's coming to the next one. A good example is on socalevo.net they have a regional sticky thread, and its about 200 pgs long, they just keep going on and on. The sticky wouldn't be for just one specific meet, but an ongoing occurance. Get it?

As for the sticky idea...I dunno. I think for us the regional forums have worked pretty well. And usually if we see a new member from our area we'll send a PM and just let them know we've got a pretty active group to meet up with if they're interested and to check the regional forum for our posts.

We rarely use the site for meets unless we think other people not already in the inner circle might want to go. Speaking of, the mention of go-karts/driving range/entertainment of some kind has been tossed around, Wes. Details to follow, most likely in the form of a phone call from Dave.
