get rid of spamming answer
okay so i have an i dea to get rid of the spamming on this site, and no its not the 10 post deal, my suggestion is that for people to even register to this forum they can not have the "free" email address ( yahoo, hotmail) they must use the one you get with bussiness, or your service provider, its hard to explain, but it works, they do this on the other forum im on dsmtuners.com and i have not seen a spamming on there ever in the year ive been there, if you dont understand go to the site and read the registration rules
yes when i first signed up i was like what the hell i dont have one of those, then i just used one i had from aol and it worked, yet the one from yahoo, hotmail, and gmail would not so it must just have been the main easiest ones that wouldnt
I second that, because theres a serious lack of moderation now a days. The mods are few and far between at times. (a lot of times)
But a good suggestion to stop spamming is have a minimum post count to make a thread. Or have those jumbled letters and words where you have to type it.

For example:
DC52NV hasn't been online in almost 24 hours, and he hasnt posted in 3 days
1- The fact that you have no idea what your ISP email address is is not acceptable. You pay for an ISP service, and you are responsible for knowing your email/login address even if they are not the same. Simple as that.
2- 24 hours before you can post like your SR20 forum, I feel is a poor idea. If I saw an interesting and propelling thread on a forum that I wanted to respond to, and they said "Sorry, U can't post for another 24-hours because we suck" I would be pissed and never come back. I'm positive that most folks here would agree.
I am also a member of TriumphRat.net which is my Motorcycle Forum, and they use the "no Yahoo/GMail/Hotmail/Free etc etc." policy when you register, and they have never ever had any spam issues. Check it out.
If I am wrong or sound like I'm being a *****, I'm sorry that is not at all intended. just expressing how I feel. However I'm sure the 24-hour wait does reduce spam occurrences, but is not the BEST method.
As unacceptable as it is to you. i dont need a login as i have cable and it is always on. I know who my ISP is. I never bothered to set up an email account with them as i have one already. And the 24 hour rule. yeah i was pissed at first and then thought about this site and understand why. Anything else Mr. Big **** with 11 posts??

I am giving you a real break by not being disrespectful, because from what I have seen in this forum so far and (MANY other forums for that matter), ALMOST ANYONE else here would have, so please be generous in return and not talk to me like I'm garbage. I stated very clearly in my post that I meant no disrespect, and that statement still stands even though you have chosen to ignore it, so please be respectful back to me.
I understand all of your arguments from your last post, and obviously there were variables at work here that you had not stated before I responded. Sorry you took my post so harshly even though I stated very clearly and without a doubt that I mean no disrespect and wanted to keep my post friendly.
As for the "11 posts" thing you decided to comment on, not only does that have absolutely nothing even in the slightest to do with the argument at hand, but is in no way an viable indictment of my forum standings or credibility. I have been a member of MANY auto forums, over the course of MANY years, have been a member of MANY Ecotec/JBody/Cobalt forums, and even MANY non-GM related forums, I just happens to be that I have just bought a Cobalt and decided to register here, even though I have been floating around here reading posts for over a year and a half, so that's why I have so few posts. Therefore, the "11-posts" thing you felt necessary to point out in front of everyone means exactly nothing. Plus, everyone has to start somewhere, it was no different for you or anyone else when they first joined this forum. Let's not be hypocritical here.
Please reconsider your attitude, accepting that in no way was I being a jerk to you or discounting your credibility. I think it's only fair that you treat me the same way what I have treated you, especially since most people here would have been absolute ****** in responding to your post.
