I am! I suggested this last year.

Just create a new thread for each trim, and sticky it.

Put the links to the how to's of the appropriate trim type in that thread. Even go so far as to sort them by interior, exterior, drivetrain, etc.

Use the sticky's as "locator threads".

The response I got to my suggestion was "use the search", which we all know brings up TONS of stuff that doesn't apply to what you're looking for....

I'll say it again. I'm volunteering to do the work. I have nothing else to do!

hey kidcrash, I think it sounds like you've already given this some extensive thought!

Lets see what we can do, to enable you & CobaltSST/C to help get that section organized up

All I need is rights to re-arrange the threads,to rename them and move them to appropriate sections. I was thinking that instead of having one big how to/DIY section we could put one in each trim section of the forums

Sounds like perhaps a new discussion about what to do with the DiY/how to section might be in order

How about letting members close threads they create? So once a question is answered it can be closed instead of people rambling on.

or the OP could just update the OP...or they could just delete the thread...that would get rid of the MILLIONS of threads on the same exact question.

Hi. I'm Robert.

I'm kind of a big deal.

Glad the forum is in new ownership. But I'm not gonna lie. You guys have A LOT of work ahead of you. This site has been neglected for a while... and a tough moderation team will do it some good.

Good Luck,

I was thinking that to but then if people search on the subject and the thread is deleted they will make a new thread versus a closed thread with the question already answered and that can be retrieved with a search.

Welcome, I've been a member here for a very long time. The site is not the same as it was years ago, like Rob said. I have a few ideas if interested, feel free to PM me. Hope to see the site turned around. Especially in the moderation area. A lot of junk goes on and on without moderation. As often as I hit the report button, nothing really gets done. Many members that have information and experience to share get used for their knowledge or taken advantage of, or in teh case of the TVS FAQ thread, it took MONTHS to get it stickied yet a thread about hot girls was stickied in a matter of days... If you need help, PM me

Cheers for the welcome Jonel will be shipping the decals which have already been ordered. Moving forward, we'll be assuming that responsibility.

Hey welcome to the site!
Im relatively new to this site, and joined after the "golden era" that some people are referring too and id love for it get back to that so that we can quit having to search for an hour and a half through all the junk to get useful information. hopefully, we can change the site around to where it doesnt get repetative and boring after the first hour of being logged in.
with that being said, i am a fairly new guy but you can sign me up for whatever job you wanna give me to help make this site a contender again.

No intentions of changing the logo. What would you like to see changed? Be specific!

We can include some text in the new thread window that suggests people search first...we can even include a link right to the search page to make it as easy as possible for people...

all kinds of options to help with this.
