We are making changes to the infraction system. The primary purpose of the infraction system is to change bad behavior and identify members whose chronic bad behavior disrupts the community. Effective immediately, infraction points will be permanent and for repeat offenders accumulate over the life of their account. Both temporary and permanent automatic bans can result from accumulated point totals. We will follow up with a FAQ detailing the point count versus ban length etc.
There will be some changes to the point system to recognize that not all infractions are equal. Using the automatic ban feature should provide a more consistent and less subjective approach to temporary and permanent bans. Please keep in mind that a very small number of members are actually affected by the infraction system. The intent is to hold chronic problem members accountable for their actions. Thanks.

I haven't been infected here yet but its nice to see the system is in place and will be used by the mods. I await the faq as I'm sure that will clear up questions / doubt about the system.
point totals that never reset. that means everyone will eventually be banned. cause you cant please everyone all the time and if you never get reported you either have no opinion or the personality of jello. essentially youre bringing back the rep system. can it only go bad and never go good?
Hmm at least my phone allowed me to spell the wrong word correctly! From what I have seen in the past the points were only on an account for xx amount of days depending on severity. Wonder of the faq will clarify
