Ion& G5 sections?????? appearance sub forums
I think that two sections, one for G5 and one for Ion's would be warrented. When I visit other sites I see alot of the same members over at those sites that frequent CSS,what brings me to this is the fact that even though we all have ecotecs the g5 and Ions have different exterior needs.By doing this these car owners will be able to go directly to these sections to discuss their cars' needs instead of having to leave this site and visit the(other) sites, plus this just might help bring in even more new members to cobaltss.net.

BIG BUMP TTT for a fellow G5 owner
By the way, it would help direct the threads and keep things organzied. There wouldn't have to be corrospoding engine threads like 2.2 and 2.4 forum but just a place for the Ions and Pursuits to go besides leaving this site because, face it, this place rules!

Then why exactly call the site cobaltss.net? I frequent the IRL forums all the time and for many reasons prefer them to css.net for one big reason...the site isn't diluted with crapola from anything else, it's STRICTLY ION Redlines, not IONs, not Cobalts, not G5s. I don't care one bit that they don't have a Cobalt-only forum. They shouldn't, it's not a Cobalt forum.
Not trying to start a flame war, just stating an opinion. I'm not a fan of the idea at all, just being that the site seems to be diluted enough without adding even more forums.

first of all i think ur very wrong. this site is a diverse place with people from all over the world, and drivers of all sorts. Theres lots of people on here that don't even have a GM product. I think giving the Canadian (only canada has the Pursuit for the time being) fans a place to go and lay down some threads is a great idea. and whos it hurting by developing the site further?

exactly. there may not be alot of us, but thats because most G5 owners don't know where to go. lets give them a place to go. CSS.net is very well known, if we placed a G5 an Ion section, we can get a bigger fan base. Basicly making this a website for people sharing the Delta platform, which makes us a famliy
Well thinking about it...
Isn't that what the lounge is for when discussing other vehicle types? if you're talking about "Tech" type discussions, maybe an "Other Cars" forum would be fine but I think alleycat has a point...it's a Cobalt Specific site, so even though it shares the same platform doesn't mean that it's for all Delta cars in general just because you visit the site.

Meh, just as I said, not looking for a fight, just stating an opinion. This is definitely NOT my favorite car forum to begin with and it's gone decidedly downhill since I joined over a year ago. If done right, I'm sure adding some appearance sub-forums wouldn't be that bad. In general, I'm just not a fan of broad-based car forums, which as I said is what I like about the IRL forums, primarily focused on one car and one car only, info is easy to find. On here the engine forums are great but tuning, suspension, etc are one big mess of posts that you have to weed through to get to anything specific to your model. Adding even more cars to the mix isn't going to help the matter any either.
