Make some sort of contest with a prize to support the website. Like a big sticker for your car. Can't quite think of a contest at the moment, but I ran something similar on an old gaming clan of mine and it boosted support and whatnot and it ended up being pretty fun.

not necessarily clear out but archive the older threads or the locked threads to relieve some of the stress off the current threads. size of the threads has nothing to do with it.

This site runs 100 times better than it used to. Keep the comments going. I will see what we can do about the mobile verson. I know a few things with it are being addressed already.
