Old school section

some guys have shown interest in an old school section so i thought that i would bring it to the attention of the mods and administrator..

we beleive it should be atleast a year of membership preferrably 1 1/2.

this section would be a little more laid back as far as moderating goes.

Thank you for your time Mod Team and Admin

i believe you could via join date and be allowed in 1-1.5 after that is when you could be considered an og.

Yay my idea. And honestly I think it would work, or at least we should get a go at it. Like Old school sections and then sub sections

i agree with this idea, even tho i fall a little short, it will divid the "old" from "young" memebers if everyone here knows what i am talking about

aswell, it should be much like premium memebership. once you hit a certian date (or certian exceptions perhaps on post count and activity *uh hum*) you are able to veiw this said section.

it could be controlled access, just like the dungeon isn't even visible to non-premi's or guests.

we did something like this in a local forum .. but it was with the classified section where in order to post in the classified section you needed 1,000 post. so im sure that it could be done by date

post count would be a bad call, because there are some new users that have a tremendous post count already, for instance, marisa, she's not a n00b, but she is really new.

What about the people who have been on here as long as I, and even though I'm not a contributing member, I like to read and have learned a lot from some of the more learned guys. Would I still get to lurk or am I just some creepy guy?

It would be possible to limit access by Join Date using promotions... While I think it would/could be a fun section I don't know that the Admin would go for it because it could "divide" the forum.

I think an Off-Topic Section, that would possibly allowed political threads, for members 1.5 years and older would be great!

see what happens when certain members hit the 1.5 year mark or whatever it is set at, then it continues, good idea, but after a certain period of time it wont work or needs to be upped to like people of 3 years like after next year or something.
