So lastnight I was playing COD4 and was talking with Venom and he mentioned about the Cobaltss.net calender...and something hit me as maybe a "good" idea...the calendar is cool and nice to have members cars in it but what if......for winning car of the month u get something for it other than ur picture up on the site for the month...like a huge spread across the calender...one month really dedicated to u...just an idea please comment

I have not been on here long..but when I saw that you guys had a calendar and a ROTM i was sort of expecting the rotm to have its own dedicated month in the Calendar. Anyways I think it's a great idea!

 

thats when someone of more power should step in and stop people from going over and over...so say u win januaray....u cant do it again until jan 2009

 

so a car that wins cotm in 08 gets a whole page to themselves in the 09 calender if there is one. mhmm well yes it is a good idea in a sense. it would solve the whole thing about well why wasnt my car hosted in it. but it would have the lack of stock balts in it and only be limited to 13 cars which i dont think they were looking to do.

but if i may put this out there. then have 2 different calenders. 1 for the regular members and 1 for the cotm people as a possibility to show them a little more recognition

 

or...big spread of the car of the month and the border being different cars from the site so that u can have more cars in the calender..and no offense to the stock thing but i dont think anyone close to stock deserves to win or be in calendar to represent a tuner community..and plus it gives u some motivation to mod

 

im not taking offense to it. but some of the cars in the calender that were ls/lt were basically stock and they got in. im not bagging on them at all. i like how it covered just about every model of cobalt. i agree with you in the way it will get more people to mod and try and to get in.

 

I think its a great idea win january and be next years january and so on

 

But heres the thing... the only cars that win (most of the time...) are ss's so i mean... i dont know if its super fair to the lower levelS?

 

this seems to be because of the mod level..im sure a good looking ls with a turbo swap would win...how many times have u seen a real good ls or lt go in for COTM?

 

cobaltss.net should sell the calanders to help make the site run better

 

well it is cobaltss.net. its just in nature most of the winners will have an ss.

not often but when they do its pretty close voting. like the white ls or lt that won recently

 

it's a good idea but i would rather see a great picture of a stock cobalt than a mediocre picture of a cobalt w/ mods on a calendar. to me it's more about the picture than mods.

 

its not only that but...AND NO ONE TAKE OFFENSE BECAUSE THIS ISNT A BASHING FEST.. but if u have the money to mod...usually u have the money to buy a ss or ss/sc

thats also something to be a requirment...no phone pics lol

2 different calenders? it would be something for them to look into but then takes away from winning COTM..i think the border would be a better option and leave it 1 calender

ok now that i actually sit here and think about what it would take to make the 2 calenders and print both would be more work then its worth. one would sell more then the other and there would be left overs of the other and money would be lost in the process of it all. but it was just an idea.

now would you care to give a little more detail of your different border idea ?

 

its hard to explain without pictures lol..but in my old club we had full show cars and they got a spread in dub magazine (nokturnal for those who are into that ****) and so it was a full spread on that car...well instead of the boarder being nothing or regular like black line or something they had everyone elses car from the car there...so imagine one huge picture and the border being little pictures of other cars

 

the way im seeing it in my head the way its explained is the cotm gets the middle of the page with a bigger picture while the rest of the cars fill up the rest of the page kind of like a tic tac toe pattern or an X type and get the corners in smaller pictures as the border to it

 

not a tic tac toe or x pattern...more of a border...kinda like ur sig but instead of saying cobaltss.net in the corner..it was a little bit bigger picture of another cobalt...and it had another one right next to it and so on and so forth to where the whole border of the picture was covered...
