Definitely agree. As far as I'm concerned, people with less post count are frowned upon because they don't have a lot of posts or are new to the site. I've been on this site since November of last year and I have hardly any posts. But I do a lot of researching on this site.

i'm a member of a few sites that list NOOB and not so noob, knowledgeable, and so on
then theres one that does it by Cash and what not but they have a different system.
me personally i dont mind the post count. i just didnt like the rating system we had b4 and now it's gone so...

Honestly, I don't care...
Does post count divide things? A lot of times yes, some are considered n00bs because they have only a few posts. But on the other hand, sometimes the new members misinterpret post count as a correlation to member knowledge.
I think not counting the Lounge/Dungeon posts is the best solution.
If my post count disappeared, or was reduced to tech section posts only i wouldn't mind...

i feel responsible for all the whoring that's been going on. i was the one that brought the ***** threads out from the beginning but never meant for people to ***** in other threads on the site.

i think it's something that shouldnt be questioned, go look at pretty much any forum site and you'll more than likely find a ***** thread.
it just happens!

I am too, since I brought it back to life. But the ***** threads are not about post count, and one word posts, & useless "whoring" are frowned upon. It is really meant to be an off-topic chat thread, to keep the OT stuff to one thread as opposed to all over the site.

***** treads are the devil ......... people go crazy trying to up their post count...... i donno why they think post count is so imp....... what i'm asking is post count to be hidden, so only you, and mods can see how many post u have made to this site..... but not everyone else.
i think people are starting to think post count = respect/knowledge ....... when really, when i see a person who has only been here for 1 month but has 7 thousand post i think of them as a *****

not as much as a chatroom does, surpisingly... and I told you, the Chat room is stupid. If you come in mid convo you cant catch up b/c there is no history, and it moves to fast

hiding post count would be the best idea this time around, because people could still have convo in the "***** treads" and the people who just do it to up their post count would stop
