Now i don't want to sound like a whiner but for the last month or so this site has constant slow downs . The lag between pages can take up to 30 seconds or i get site is too busy or other times it will pop a database error.

I've been a premium member since i joined , and haven't complained about anything in almost 3 years ...but if all the free members payed for a premium membership would that help pay for a bigger pipe or faster server? I know by being a paying member it's not much money at all , but when the server get congested maybe some of the free riders should get the boot till the load goes down. Maybe that would motivate them to help out . Sorry to bitch or **** any free members off but it seems like the site needs some help.

Probably because there's so much stupid and pointless bs posts that people make that flood the site and bandwidth? Idk It gets slow at times but it's not THAT bad.

 

I think it's because cc08's perma ban was lifted.

 

but it's probably just because there's so much traffic throughout this site and it's growing at a fast rate. I love the site and just try to look past the occasional bogging down at times.

oh but seriously the site has been slow especially during the "busy hours." I received the same PM 3 times, cause they kept hitting send.

 

Why not cut out sig's for non paying members or something ? There has to be a way to free up some bandwidth while promoting people to become a premium member. No gallery or garage , maybe limit access to fewer sections .

I'm not trying to **** off the free members but it doesn't cost much for a Prem. membership.... If you want to have a big sig and post a thousand post's with it in there ..... help support the load your hitting the server with.

Well the site was just closed a little while ago for maintance and now it's running a lot better. What ever he did, it worked.

 

Still slow as hell for me...

Well yeah it's still slow compared to other sites, always has. But it was reallyyy bad earlier, it was a minute wait every click.

 

I was just talking to another member tonight about this. It's all I've had to do for the last few weeks of working nigth shift. I felt like I was back on dial up a few times. But for the most part i just go look around on another site and come back when it's working faster.
