Some advice for this site for the members and to help each other out!!!
Ok i think we have a huge dilemma here in who we can and cant trust. I read these daily threads about people being disatisfied with their purchase because they feel like they got lied to and those lies are the reasons that they bought the product those lies being the item being in greta condition, or flawless when in reality it isnt..
So my solution- I think by each user name we should have a rating scale from 1-10... 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest... This allows members from feeling safe from buying from a member instead of just sticking their neck out and taking a risk and hoping it will be in good condition.

sounds good and all.... but maybe a picture of a common purchased/trade part in different conditions/states would help on rating the scale. I.E. a lot of us on here buy/sell/trade pulleys. if we could get some pics posted of worst/1---- best(new)10,... it might also help. your idea of a 8 might be a little different then everyone elses........IMO
but yeah good idea............

Is this thread serious? that why they have vendors they are the people you can trust , when you go off and try to be cheap and save a couple of bucks , thats a risk you have to take. For every cause there is an effect
hmm are you serious?? Who said its being cheap **** i mean saving a buck is never bad... Im sorry big baller its not that i buy from anyone on this site neway ive always bought new ive just seen to many people get fucked over so i decided to post this
true words x...in the classified's section there is a user rating stickied though. i think that helps out quite a bit
not a good idea..lol cuz then ppl that dont like eachother will then jus rate eachother down....the world is a poopie place...but beautiful...lol

well thank you for posting because i left out something... The user thread with peoples positives and negatives about sellers and buyers the moderators need to use that to give us a scale not everyone voting because thats the same thing we had last time which was ridiculous
hey 2fast, don't mean to jack the thread, but isn't there a rep scale, because i always see posts with someone saying +1 rep man!! haha. is this real, or they just saying oo! you got brownie points!

...there is a review thread in the classified section, all you have to do is search the thread for a user, I even posted directions on how to do so.
A member review/reputation system will never make a return, just not going to happen.
And just because a member has good previous transactions doesn't mean they won't bone someone in the end. Buy smart, use a credit card and/or PayPal, and use common sense. Don't "wait" and give the member time, as soon as you think something is fishy file a dispute with PayPal it can always be retracted. People just need to be smarter about who they buy from and learn to just be smarter about how they go about the transaction.
The only way any type of review system is going to work is if members add to it, it takes 2 seconds to fill out a post and post it in the thread. Any time I see someone post an "I got ripped" thread I encourage them to post a review of the member so that others will be aware. If you can't notice the review thread that is stickied in every classified section (all linked to one thread) then that is your own fault for not doing the research.

The whole reason I created a new thread was because the other one was so long and filled with 90% junk and B.S. I tried to create some order to the system and think that thread does just fine. All you have to do is use the "Search this Thread" option to look up a member.
If you can think of a way to improve the thread then I am all ears tho

im not saying im a big baller and i only buy from the vendors , all the parts on my car are used but i also know that i run the risk of getting ripped off by trying to saving money. i have gotton stuff that isnt in the condition it was said to be in before but i didnt post about it and complain because i know thats a chance i take. yOU cant have it both ways , thats why you pay the extra cost for the product from the vendors.
