ok im probably not the only person to feel this was. i wanna see something other than an SS/SC cobalt win Featured Car. Why cant you do something like this?

Any Cobalt 2.2 Only For a Month
Under Construction Month Any Cobalt unpainted or in primer
interior only mods
best cobalt audio setup
or whatever change it up a bit....

im not saying i should win but this community is huge and moltly the ss and ss/sc cobalts get respect around here and i think its bullshit. im tried of seein an ss/sc on the front page every month. just cause a guy has 20" wheels or a 2.8 pully or some dumb **** like that shows no reason to vote for him. how about the guys that have 100+ hrs of their own work and time in their car with body work or interior work custom audio whatever. most people on here have minor bolt on and win Freatured car. let see something different it would be noce....

So far I've been fairly pleased with the choices for Featured car. I think Hackabuse got cheated a couple of months back with his custom four door LT, but the car that won was still pretty hawt. Other than his, I haven't seen MAJOR competition from any other trim.

Ya so far all the featured cars have been aweseome! I think we can still go a couple more months without special months since there are still alot of nice cars out there. I do like i idea of like an interior month and stuff like that.

The site votes for the cars not the just the MODs so if a 2.2 would like to win they will have to beat any make and model on this site. I would think somone woud be more proud of winning if they actually beat out all the other high end models, it is possible it will just take the right car witht he right mods. Not trying to be a dick or anything its just my 2 cents. I personally would also like to see some 2.2 or 2.4 guys win but its up to everyone on the site to vote for the car. Giving special sections is in itself unfair to some.

i think another really good idea would be to have a car of the month for each different motor. so SS/SC of the month, 2.4 of the month so on......i think it would get alot more people involved in voting as well..... just my .02

 

Haha, you're like the ONLY " under construction" Balt on this board, how would that be a fair category? Seriously though, I, along with all the other members are the ones that vote for a car of the month, and so far, I haven't seen to many Ls's that are nicer than the SS's that have been in the running.

 

no **** serlock i know that there arent many LS or LT runnin and its cause why would you bother if only the SS/SC are gonna win anyhow. that why i said have an LS and LT month. i think there are a bunch of mince lookin LS and LT on this board and they get no respect cause they are not an SS/SC. as far as the under construction comment i just threw it out there. if ur tryin to be a smart ass then i think my mod list is def. bigger then urs.

The car that looks the best and has some nice mods will get car of the month. Everyone can vote on it, so i dont really see y a 2.2 wouldnt have a chance, but imo, i havent seen hardly ne 2.2's that look as good as an even stock ss or ss/sc. But if a really nice lookin 2.2 was n the car of the month choices, then i think it has just as much of a chance to win as anything else. Honestly tho, the 2.2's dont look as good as the other models because the ss and ss/sc r more expensive and should look better. U get what u pay for.

This thread is pointless, the featured cars of the month are picked by the members not the mods. If you think you have a nice 2.2 than put it up for the vote. You cant sit here and argue over who wins when it is your choice as well as mine. The reason the SS/SC's win most of the time is simply because they are the more popular car. If that was not the case than why are a lot of 2.2 owners puting SS/SC wings, ground effects, ect.... on their cars? I am not saying the 2.2's arent capable of wining, but until more people put them out there we will never know. And does somebody have an Ego problem, "i think my mod list is def. bigger then urs" Come on man, grow up. Why dont you compare your mod list to mine and guess who's car looks better, is faster, and has a louder stereo. I will say you did go with the right brand equpment for the system (fosgate), but I bet you my one T1 12" sub with 1000 watts RMS going to it puts out more DB's then your 2 P1 10" subs. Audio express did the install and put a DB meter on it, and I put out around 143 DB's which is very very loud.

 

dude i think u missed the point of the thread......i wasent askin the mods to choose anything. i was saying about having months for certain trims to be kinda fair for all. and ya my stereo is junk...fosgate sux but it was cheap....and to be honest u have a bunch of bullshit bolt ons. im doin a completly custom body work to my car. dude you can show u have a credit card and have other people do ur work. i do all my own installs for every part of my car. u dont get and more respect from me...

 

You are wrong, I do all my own work except when what I have to have the dealer do to keep my warranty. I installed my CAI, Hurst short throw, Viper alarm, Shift light, interceptor and gauge pod, street glow kit, dyna matt kit, and will be installing my DP and Megan exhaust I just bought. I had someone else do the stereo, even though I am MECP certified, so I can retain a warranty on my T1 sub which is not cheap. The P1's are, but I have over 2g's invested in my stereo alone. I am also custom making a set of Bi Xeon projectors using fiberglass to get the stealthy look. Am I really paying someone to do my work now? What do you thing of what you said after hearing how WRONG YOU ARE??? So to say all my parts are a bunch of bullshit bolts is crap when yours are pretty much the same. So what if you have some custom body kit, that is because your car needs it to make it look good. I am happy with the SS/SC body kit so I will keep it. Also you are not the only one having custom body work done, lets see whose car looks better when mine gets out of the body shop around the begining of September. I am having a dark blue pearl sprayed in the clear coat over the entire car. That is roughly a $4-5k paint job witch I bet costs more than all the body work you are doing to your car combined. I am also getting a better looking hood and tinting the tailights along with shaving the rear trunk lock. And also FYI, I do not have any credit cards, do not want any, all my stuff is paid for in cash thay I earn at my Job. I just happen to make really good money doing what I do, and I chose to spend it on my car. Is that my fault, or even some reason to talk **** to me??? You do not know me, and where does it say in my mods that I paid for them to be installed by someone else??? That is your way of assuming stuff in order to try to take a shot at my credibilty, and buddy you assume way to much!!! Tell you what, when my car is done in about 6 weeks or so lets have a friendly compitition. I will take some pictures of my car, and you yours, and we will post them here and let everybody vote on whos is the all around better package. I even complimeted your stereo, and by the way fosgate is a very good brand but you just went with there low end equpment. I will say it again, you need to grow up.

Also I did catch the point of your thread as well, you want individual catigories for differant trims each month. I do not believe this is the right way to go, and also think it is your belief that this is the only way you will have a chance at winning. This is not true bro, if I thought your car was badass I would vote on it regaurdless of what trim it is. I am sure others think the same way. So quit being so jealous of other peoples cars, and quit being so insecure with yours. On another note, I noticed you were a soy plant operator. Believe it or not that happens to be something in common with what I do. I am site manager for a Biodiesel refinery, and crude degummed soy bean oil is one of the primary products I use to make Biodiesel. Do you work with Cargill or Conagra? They are two of my main suppliers, and I actually just place around a 3 million dollar order for several railcars of soy to get us through the next coulple of months. I know this is off subject, but I am just curious.

Also, incase you are wondering, the blue pearl is being sprayed on my 07 Black SS/SC, I do not own the orange one anymore.
