VIN Decoder is now available!

We're proud to announce a new feature which allows members to decode their VIN! Along with MSRP and invoice price, the VIN Decoder can be used to see engine and powertrain stats, options by body style, paint colors and codes, and detailed technical specs. You can also easily share that information to Social Media sites like Facebook and Twitter, or even click through to purchase a CarFax report for the vehicle.

The VIN decoder will appear as a hyperlink anytime a member posts a VIN to enable more accurate info when referencing VINs in sales threads or general conversation. We think the VIN Decoder will be a fun and useful tool for the community, so check it out:

I had to answer some random question after I entered the VIN for it to pop up.

Augsome! Worked very well. Has everything I wanted on my Cobalt. Would like more from my Vette's Vin, but showed a good amount for me.

Says mine is 260

Good tool thanks!

Compnine is back up and running too. The usual 1 search per day. Helped me make sure my car had everything I was looking for when I got it. Just gives you RPOs though. I like the info the CSS decoder provides.

i got my balt for invoice price when i bought it. actually 39$ under it. but several things arent correct. i do not have 4wheel abs, i laugh that it says premium ride suspension. all told just using what i paid and what ive driven its only cost me 6.8 cents a mile. gonna try n make it to 5c a mile at least.

i think the only thing 'specific' to my vehicle was the price ($19900) everything else was just general specs? i was hoping to see like my vehicles curb weight and stuff. o well nice link
