Is it the server? I know nothing about computers, but whatever it is, it needs to be fixed. None of the other forums I'm on does this crap. Pages wont load, try to post and it take 2 days and then puts 2 or 3 posts, always says a data base error. Can the person whos in charge of this site get another server. I was thinking of upgrading my membership since I dont pay anything right now but love the people and topics here, but as long as its messing up like this I will not upgrade.

 

 

It's because people make 500 threads about the same thing instead of searching, or reading the 15 other threads on the first page in this section about server issues!

Yes it sucks, but the Admin says he's working on it... I don't know what else to tell you =/

 

that it will stop, the servers will be back to the way they were 3 years ago, no database error, not clitches, not quintuple posting, no lagging and that all the money that has been made from this forum be returned to the cobalt community by upgrading everything...premium is what 10 or something, now multiply that by all the people that have paid in the past few years...thousands of dollars have been invested by our fellow cobalt enthisiats...were's all that money @ now when we need it?

This forum is probably bigger than anyone figured. There are a lot of members on here. I havent been on here that long and it seems that this stuff just started about a week ago, for me anyway. Of course, I'm not on here 24/7 so maybe its been like that for a long time, I just noticed within the last week. But, thanks for answering anyway reign.

 

IT been like this for at least 6-8 months ....maybe a year . I cant remember.

The steps that need to be taken should be put out so the site can run better. If there are so many threads about the same thing, then the admin personnel should have the privledges to delete threads. Judgment should come into play, and get rid of the ones that don't have to be here.

I agree. This site should be fixed ASAP. Its because of this that I have to go to the next alternative site every time servers are down: ****.

 

it seems more like someone needs to spend a little bit more money for extra bandwidth. most of the thread mods on here don't skip a beat i don't think it's the amount of threads lol. BANDWIDTH!!!

 

server licks ass. that's it. other forums i frequent have double or triple the members, posts, threads and have never had issues. like ryan has mentioned, admin said he was working on it so that's all we can hope for. saw a thread admin made of him just having a newborn so it might take a little longer than expected.

 

we try to do our best but it's difficult and discouraging when i can't even moderate w/out the server going out or have to wait 45 minutes to give someone an infraction/warning/ban.

i didn't take it the wrong way. i was merely stating my frustration on this server issue. it's one of the most discussed topics in the moderator section.

Well, somebody fixed something today, because I'm trucking around on this site with no issues, and speed is good.

 

One word.... well 2 actually

Sh*tty server. I will not renew my premium membership until it gets fixed. There is no excuse for the server to lack this much. As more money was coming in, the server should have continuously been upgraded. But it wasn't.

 

one day does not make it fixed

We've had one day "fixes" before, then it gets worse

 

I'm waiting for tomorrow. Once the workchat thread starts... It'll be all downhill from there.
