Quick Wash And Wax ?

Hey guys, looking to get some tips on what to use for a quick wash and wax of the car. I currently like using the "spray on wipe off" waxes like the ones Turtle Wax makes.

Also, what brand of tire shine and rim / wheel cleaner should I use to really make the sparkle?

finally, what brand of car wash?

This. Purchased it once to try it, ended up stockpiling it when the dollar was high last year. Easy to work with, works as advertised and great company to deal with .

I did mine for the first time ever this year. I started on a small portion of the hood to get a feel for what the hell I was even trying to accomplish, after I got that figured out there's not a whole lot to it . I used the Meguiars kit (2 claybars + microfibre + Quick Detailer) and it comes with instructions...the key is to use LOTS of lubrication on every section...I can't emphasize how much LOTS is .

Check this link out if you'd like to see what it entails

Autogeek How-To

The difference is night and day, particularly with mine being a black car. The rear quarter panel (driver) always felt kinda grungy, it had so much **** build-up the claybar stopped dead when it hit it but after 5 passes it's like glass. Make sure if you're trying it the first time you set aside a good couple hours just so you're not rushed. You'll need to:
  1. Wash and dry
  2. Claybar
  3. Potentially rewash and redry (I didn't have to with the quick detailer and TurboWax Pre-Wax w/ Porter Cable)
  4. Any steps you want to perform for a polish/seal/wax

Start to finish, with the PC 7424 without polishing (which I need to do) I spent a good 12 hours meticulously cleaning the **** build-up from winter off just to give you an idea .

Yep, gotta love black . I showed up at a meet right after doing it and a good number of mouths hit the ground when they saw the reflection in the paint. TurboWax was given some props since people asked what I used on it so hpefully some of 'em check them out. The look on people's faces made it worth the time investment that's for sure
