I have bad bug rash on my front bumper. I want to use turtle wax clay bar and then rewax it. Should this do it? Ive never clay barred my car before so this is a first. Anything I should know? Also, whats good to remove the old turtle wax? I heard dawn dish soap and others, but whats the best?

yes, wash the car first, then clay bar it, then wash it again, then wax.

while claying use your soapy mit to keep the car soaped up and lubricated. helps the clay bar go over better and less risk of scratching the paint with the clay bar

Be VERY careful with clay bars, if you dropped do NOT use it again!

2 things here.First the oxidation bar from Turbo Wax is the ****.
Second thing is,they are bugs not a real big production.Wash,then use a good bug and tar remover,then wax it.Are you removing the old wax on the car?Why?Just use a good car shampoo.Any of the Turbo Wax stuff is really good.

 

Do what these guys are saying, but for future reference I use Turtle Wax Bug,Tar & tree sap remover on my black balt & it does wonders. Picked mine up from auto zone. It also says it doesn't strip wax........................... Black cars can never stay clean, it is a love hate relationship for sure.

 

alot of people use dish soap like Dawn to remove wax.
