Glen229's blown 2.4 build pic's and startup vids
hey everyone, Fred Jr. here...as some of you know we at SMG have been building Glen229's 08 cobalt 2.4 into an m62 breathing street machine. Obviously as you all know the 08 2.4 does not have the ability to be HP Tuned so we have chosen the AEM F/IC as our tuning option. The build is just about completed and the car is running and as you will see in the vids, has gone for its maiden ride in m62 trim. Glen wanted me to make a thread so that if there were any questions on the build I could respond to them directly without any probs.
Hope you enjoy the vids... i'll work on the pics as well as I go along (however im on the laptop infront of the flat screen watching NHRA Full Throttle Series racing right now!)
Just for some quick info... NO we have NOT dyno'd the car yet, tuesday looks to be the day for that. So far the F/IC is doin its job with no problems, the base tune is in the car for the 42.5's and some driveablity.
Just want to thank Glen for the opportunity to work on this project as it has been not only another successful build but a fun build....with alot of laughs! enjoy everyone.

here are some build pics... i'll try and make comments on ones that may need explaining.
trying to keep these pics in somewhat of an order. Some of the main changes through these pics is the routing of the injector harness and TB harness, as well as the maf harness to the other side of the engine/fenderwell
quick shop shot of the current projects going on.....
SMG DUAL PASS
wiring the AEM F/IC
The re-assigned location for the washer fluid res.
Thats just about all the pics. Dyno video and some final pics will be posted when we finish up the car completely this week. Thanks again.

Thanks! it has come along great. Have the tune set up alittle more. Drove the car home tonight to get some more of the driveability tune set. made a few short WOT hits and seems very strong. Dynoing will begin tomorrow! So far very pleased with the results! Will keep everyone posted on the remainder of the build and the final finishing touches with in the next day or two.
