Thumbs up Anyone in Killeen TX area? 05 SC and 09 TC owner

There seem to be Cobalts around here but few and far between. I'm military and stationed at Ft Hood and looking to get together with some fellow Cobalt owners. Just moved here from WA (Ft Lewis)

Looks like you might be somewhat close to Austin and they have a ecotec car club down there. CenTex I think

Yeah sorta. I guess there is a back way and I can get there in about 45-50 minutes. Is there a website they have or an Austin specific thread? Did not see anything but like houston.

spoke too soon. found a website. Thanks bro! Anyone in the area hit me up.

Perfect. I'm due to deploy mid Dec but I have to have ankle surgery on 2 Jan so I'll be unable to drive for quite a while and will then deploy sometime around Mar or April I'm guessing. PM me so I have your info....we'dd definately get together.

I checked out the web site for just a min. The website is a bit busy looking and kind hard to follow but I checked it out. I saw some pics of some members and it mostly looked like CAVI's and some other random cars. There ARE some TC's in the group?? :P

no offense but that website kinda sucks but only kinda cus like he said its too busy and hard to follow

I am a chairman member of a club called active trend, we are mostly but not military members with cars and the same rules and by-laws as other clubs. the main difference in our club is we are actually sponsored by many diff companies and do diff things in the areas we are in.

We havent branced out in TX as of yet, one of our other members just got there and im not there yet so once we are established I plan to start the Texas branch of our club and get things rolling. I will be in the Killeen area and he is in EL Paso, if you would like you can check out our website at www.active-trend.com you can even sign up and become a member of the website and think about joining the club later. Most of the guys in the club drive Mazda's but thats only because most of the people we began with loved mazdas but there are a few other cars so it evens out, we dont discriminate against anyone or any car we do national sponsored events and car shows to include nopi nationals, drag races and auto x. not trying to be a dick and step on anyones club just giving other options.

yup
there are quite a few cavs,a saturn redline,a beretta, but the cobalts are quickly outnumbering us
i think theres 3 or 4 T/Cs in the area now that are on the site...our club actually supports ANY GM compact car..not just the eco platform. thats probably where the confusion comes from.

true..you guys do need to get together to help each other out..since there arnt that many yet..however some of us other guys might know how to help you more than you think i work at pontiac and ive been working on that t/c engine for the past couple years since it came out in the solstice.
and alot of the guys have some projects going on..one guy is driving to houston to get some parts, another member is putting a s/c on his 2.2 in just a couple weeks so hes BUSY collecting all the parts he needs....stuff like that
you just gotta jump in and say you got something you wanna do, and youll be surprised how many will show up to help.
