el paso thread
Well the car is finally out! woohoo! so i am down for some meets. its got a nice little increase in power. just a warning tho DONT USE RPM. heres why...
1) it WAS supposed to take them a week to do, it took a month.
2) original price quote $750. then bumped to $1000 after it was dropped off
3) after it took a month, they would not bring to price back down any for the inconvenience
4) they never cleared the CEL. i have to pay the dealership to flash the ECU for me to clear
5) when i went to pay the $1000, they said thats only labor..and charged another $160 for fluids
6) My deck is not longer mounted, its just laying in the dash where its supposed to go. I have to go to the place that installed the deck for me today to have them remount it
7) dont ask me HOW this happened... but my radar detector will not get as loud as it used to be with the volume all the way up. i cant hear it over my music anymore
so.. there ya go. dont use RPM.
other than that, the car is running awesome and i love it. the new clutch is a bitch to get used to tho. and the front mount heat exchanger looks ****** awesome in the lower grille

well im carless... the bank repoed the balt today cuz i got behind for 25 days and when they called my aunt she told the bank to pick it up...and well there is still $8,000 to be paid...she wants me to keep payin it...and i said "no car no payment" so she said she was goin to sue me

meh its alright i guess. I would try and see what you can do to get ur old car back u don't really want that on ur or ur aunts credit and ultimately it sounds like a bit better option. just hit her up and say look i'm willing to do what it takes to get this fixed if ur not going to be a ****. tell her ur not paying for a car that u dont have and she doesn't want a repo on her credit. So she needs to either chill out and stop being a bitch and help you or ultimately pay for it. Right now isnt the time to have bad credit so if she plans on buying anything in the next few years she already hurt herself and could well make it worse

hey guys hows el paso sorry i havent been on this thread for a while just trying to send my fd back to el paso. so does any one know where i can take my car to get my clutch put on in less than two days and im not taking my car to rpm i have bad experiences with them. oh and speed factory has a copy of the 2.2l ecotec ecu pin outs that i got from the dealership. but yea so whats new in el paso is there a drag strip there or is industrial still the hot spot. and has any one gone down comanche peak. and ill be selling alot of stock parts from the cobalt once i get back from iraq/japan

yea im driving through to cali and figured id chill with my grandparents while im there. my mom and sister will be there visiting as well at the same time. probably wont have time for a meet, but im down to meet up for a few. car wont be anything to look at all taped up lol
