Sounds good. Anyone in the Dallas area that wants to cruise there together should be at the Discount Tire on 75 and Midpark at 11am. Anyone going straight to the track should be there by noon. I'll be watching for the event to be decided on. I'll be going to whichever the meet is. Even though I would really like to dyno, it seems that going to the track would be harder to reschedule. We can always setup any weekend for dyno I guess. I've never run 1/4 mile anyway, looking forward to it.

keep in mind if you plan on racing you will need to wear jeans and if you think you can get into the 13's, you need a helmet. I'm not sure about the helmet thing, with the cooler weather i might be in the 13's since i got a 14.1 when it was 90....maybe i'll grab a cheap one at walmart.

 

What kind of helmet is required, like a 3/4? I don't expect to get into the 13's really but it's always good to be prepared.

if having a helmet is mandated for whatever times you are gonna run i doubt a walmart one will do. in autox we have to use snell rated helmets with a minimum rating of s2000. every five years a new standard is set with them and we have to have one within the last two gradings, so a s95 was only good up to 2005.

 

A Snell, damn. Motorcycle laws only require D.O.T. rated, Snell is if you want that extra warm fuzzy because they're a little more stringent. No worries, my father in law has two from when he used to ride. I guess it makes sense though considering some of the speeds acheived in any kind of racing. It's not your casual bike ride.

 

you can find good deals on them, i got my snell s2000 rated 3/4 at a local dirt biker shop for like $49. if you want though you can easily spend 3+hundred on one.

 

u take a left on the loop(if ur going north i think) and just drive on the loop untill u pass sams and it should be on ur left
