hello, i represent Centexcc which is Currently a Jbody based club. we are a VERY organized club but have only started the "show scene" in this past year but things are looking good..as stated above there IS a car club in SA that accepts ALL GM compact cars, but youll have to agree that the GM compact scene in austin isnt quite as big as we would like it too be..well were trying to change that..
Cen-tex IS currently accepting cobalts(all models at the moment) and for the time being the cobalt portion is free from the rules and regulations that regulate the Jbody members .. please ask for further details on this..
now i know some of you are already in a club, and thats cool! we dont want anyone to think that they arnt welcome to hang out withus because they are! this is a Very good group of guys in a club with good benefits! and i personally would love to see more GM cars in it! the website is www.centexcc.com ...drop in and say hi.
or meet with us on saturdays at the weekly shows around 6pm at the mcneil / 620 exit in round rock ext 252b i believe, off i35 and 620 ...just look behind the mcdonalds in the parking lot and you cant miss it...any questions fill free to ask..thanks for listening guys!

Sorry to get off topic here. Scott is that the same vid you posted a few weeks ago? I just want to make sure before I download it twice. I can't wait for the next bash
It was cool hanging out with all the different clubs from all over TX
Yeah I just downloaded it. My car made it to the video somewhere in the middle of it. I'm in the very last vid clip too. I was driving Derrick's (Houston) red Cavy down the strip. Thumbs up, Scott. You guys put together a great show.
thanks man! im glad you guys all had a good time. hope it was worth the trip ! and yes its v2.0 the finished copy. hope to see you guys again very soon..hopefully this time well have more cobalts with us!
i take it your implying that 2.2s cant be made fast? but to answer your question there were several SS's there , most of which were in the video..even got to see a turbo cavalier outrun one down the track.
Didn't say they can't be fast. Just the average person doesn't know how to build an engine. Its all bolt on parts and hopes and dreams. Thats goes for a lot of people. It comes down to money. How fast do you want to go, open the pocket book. I look at all of credit card statements to get my car some what quick. See the point.......
ok for those of you that couldnt get the good version to work i made a Lo res version to post on youtube..so if you couldnt watch the other one try this ..

I think there is a bunch of cobalts in the austin area, but the heavily moded ones are all ready members of team such as DreamSpeed, 16ness etc......The big question is why should we leave our teams for a new gm team?? What kind of sponsors can you provide etc/benefits........
Why cant you guys just be part of more than one team? Some people are just looking to hang out with people with similar interests. It's not like he's asking you to leave your wife
I am happy being the prez of DreamSpeed.....come on we are one of the winningst show teams on the circuit.......It will take a lot of $$$ in sponsors to get me too jump.......Although I am up to listen.......
