but since my exhaust is fixed i wanna see what i can run....any advice??

this is how i did it the first time...

rev to about 2k 2200RPM and let the clutch out slowly but dont slip it then 75% throttle to 6k Rpm then WOT in 2nd and 3rd..that sound good?

i ran that with a major exhaust leak so it was a high 15

 

hmmmm, hope you can get better this time.

 

an exhaust leak is not why you ran a high 15. work on your driving skills. that's 2.2 teritory. i don't care if you take the exhaust off, you should not be running high 15's.

 

yea it is i had no top end at all..u could feel the power loss

 

which track are you going to

with no exhaust your top end would be better

 

trust me, it had nothing to do with the exhaust. the biggest leak in the world won't make you add 2 seconds to your et.

 

im going to rusk.. since im still new to this clutch and STS i want a low 14

 

Unless the leak is causing allot of turbulence and inturn giving unwanted back pressure.

 

well the leak was in the flex pipe ill get a picture of it tomorrow I kept it

 

I can't wait to get back to Texas and run my car. I am going to be shooting for low 13's

I live in Fort Worth and should be back late winter early spring with my car. I will be back in a couple of weeks but won't have my car.

I will try to make it out to ennis but will most lilky end up at Texas raceway by fort worth.

The only bad thing about Texas raceway is that it is a 1/8 mile. Is there still talk about doing the drag strip at TMS?

Yea I have been hearing that for years and it seems the talk really picked up before I left 2 years ago. My dads company does allot of work out there and they have herd all kind of this. I think the guy who owns the track in Ennis has allot to do with it not getting built.

 

doesnt look like im going now my parents dont want me going to race...but the thing is they will let me race when its broke but not when its fixed any advice to change their mind haha....
