Ok, I thought I would start a new thread so we have a clean slate for this weekend. The meet is going to be this Sunday (Jan 28th). How many people do we have showing up?

The location, for anyone who does not know is going to be across from the Discount Tire @ the Grapevine Mills Mall.

I think most people were leaning toward a 7:00 PM time to meet, but this was still somewhat in the air last time I heard anything. Something else that I thought of that we might need to consider is if the mall will allow us to use their parking lot after mall hours. I used to work at a mall, and we would ask people to leave the parking lot about and hour after the mall closed.
I don't know the policy of Grapevine Mills, so I could be totally wrong about them kicking people off the lot.

Last think I heard also was that someone was going to try and get some other American compacts out there (Ford Foci, Dodge SRT-4's), we still have them coming out as well, or are we going to be All Cobalt, All the Time?

I am playing around with making a small flyer or graphic for this meet, so stay tuned for that, if I decide it doesn't suck too bad

If I screwed anything up, please feel free to correct me.

 

Using the first meet as reference we would probably use the mall parking lot as a initual meet and greet before going on a cruise, so I don't know how long we would actually be in the mall parking lot.

Imma be there....... Meet at mall parking lot. I dont think they are gonna be having a big problem. Mall is open until 9pm on Sundays anyways.

I started working on a mock up flyer while I was in class today. I know it is probably the suck, but I thought I would give it a shot.

The car in the flyer is JapEatr's, pulled it off of his photos.
I also want to put another car in there, maybe mine if I get a good picture. If I cant get any pictures soon, I might use Mines_Better. Yall let me know if thats a problem (me using your cars in it)

From a previous LSJ guy, you should open up the thing to all LSJs (Saturn-the-ugly-red-headed-step-child has one too remember?) or maybe a "Forced Induction club" to get the WRXs, Lancers, and other F/I cars. Also, if you are going to use Japeatr's car, make sure you include a car-lift underneath since that bastage always has his in the shop

 

I think you could add another car and that should be good enough. Just post it in as many forums as possible.

 

You can use mine if you want, but I don't think the snow covered car is that good of an idea.

Adding 7pm... Im adding another balt right now, should we put emblems of all the cars that are welcome? Or a RedLine for the other car?

 

right now the foci are deciding if they are wanting to come..... serveral are in, a few are maybes...... but i dont know if any of you heared of "rice killers" but they host car meets for every type of car. i was thinking of the more the merrier???? i Have a friend comming with his prelude and 1 maybe acura friend but not to sure

the flyer looks bad a**, i would just make the text stand out more, not white or black


i think we should start maybe 6pm ? since we cant all decide 5 or 7 ? but i think 7 would be to late or even 6 because its going to be dark outside and if we decide to make movies like last time, all you will see is headlights... just a thought

 

Yeah I think 6 would be good, assuming the people that show up at 6 will stick around long enough for the 7 pm folks to show up. I updated the flyer some, stock picture of a saturn. I didnt change the colors of the font yet, but I will.

if you meet at 6:00pm, just be sure that people actually wanna stay till 7pm for guys like me that cant head out there till 6:30pm. i wanna have a good showing out there. too bad i wont have my new mods yet.

i think so, sounds like a great meet. im sure that JapEatr will be down and the other guys that him and i meet up with. we just need to call them. i think we can get at least 3 or 4 more from our little group.
