Hello Houston folks! Youve been looking for a large Cobalt/GM meet. Well we've been having several meets all year and youve been missing out! Our next Galveston cruise will take place Saturday September 1st, 2012. GMofSA will be joining us for this cruise so please make plans to join the fun. There are 2 pre-meet locations. Go to the one that is nearest to you! Wash your cars and bring $2 cash for the tollroad between Freeport and Galveston.

Okay here is the outline...

- Northside pre-meet at 10:30am

- Southside pre-meet at Noon

Mark and Natalie from GMofHouston will get everyone organized to roll-out. Please listen out for their directions.

- Pitstop at Buccees in Freeport

- Lunch around 3pm

San Antonio guys are gonna head to their hotel to party afterwards. Houston guys if you want you can follow me to my house and hang out. I live about 20 minutes north of Galveston.

well, regardless, this is going to be a great cruise guys! From what I understand, the 288 freeway has been developed further so we don't have to exit and take the back alley to San Luis Pass. Although that back alley driving was pretty nice.

 

just so you guys know the blue ss/tc at the northside pre-meet is a 4 door and the yellow ss/sc is a 2 door with black rims.

 

So is this meet still going to happen? I'm in NM but I've got the next 5 days off and jackshit to do.

 

From what I read yea still going to happen but without GMofSA

just so you know, if you plan on going to the beach afterwards, the water isnt as blue as it is on the east and west coasts lol. its muddy lol. galveston is a nice town to visit, I used to live there for 5 yrs. check this site out for more info about galveston. both meeting locations are completly out of my way. so i when yall get closer to galveston ill meet up with yall..i will just need someone to let me know when yall are close

 

^hey, we will be stopping at the buccees in freeport if you wanna meet us there. should be there around 2pm. or go straight to salsas before 3pm. i can send out an update on the gmofh facebook so you can stay up to date on where the group is.

 

What are y'all going to Freeport for? That's over an hour away. What time are y'all meeting up

 

I will most likely meet y'all at salsas. Freeport is over an hour away from me. Lol

 

The route we take is for the cruise and the drive. No point in taking 45 all the way down....anyone can do that.
We go 288 to Angleton and make a pitstop at the Buccees there before going down further and taking 332 over to freeport and then cruising all along the coast up to San Luis pass and then Galveston. Coming up the coast like that and seeing all the empty beach and dunes is great. Its an awesome drive! Especially tomorrow with the sunny weather
