Check for shorts in your wire harness about 12inches back from the ecu plugs in the engine bay. I had it happen 5yrs ago and had to replace my harness. Pick up a harness and replace it I feel you have a short in your wire harness in the engine bay. I just saw someone getting rid of a harness for like 150$

If the shop is just telling you that it needs the parts that the codes are for; ex: maf code, replaced maf.
Get it out of the shop! Lol. The car needs to be properly diagnosed, not just parts thrown at it.
Did they even tell you the codes that have been set? If so, what are they?

dont put ANY more parts on it until you know what the codes are for. if the light is ON then the codes are there.. get it scanned. Even autozone can do it for you for free.
what area are you in? your profile just says texas....and thats a pretty broad area :p

No offense, but if you can't figure out something basic like that, what do you plan to do when you figure out where it is? Find someone with slightly basic car knowledge locally to help you out and teach you, or pay someone who knows what they are doing.

Yeah, Im just south of Ft Worth. Less than 15 miles from 20. I would recommend getting it scanned at an AutoZone and seeing what codes the car is throwing first, then go at it from there. Replacing parts as a means of trouble shooting is a very primitive way of working on a modern car and will end up costing you way more then what its worth.

Unplug your harness on eco,,,use a small amount of electrdiode grease on the pins n plug them back in,,,then unhook negative cable,,,,hook cable back up n see if it goes away
