Look, I really don't want to start a pissing contest or it's TX against the world here but I feel some of the comments you and Darksun280 made were just childish in nature and inappropriate. I do not take personal offence to the them but I do not condone stereotypes or bashing of any sorts unless it's some troll looking for trouble. I'm not calling you guys trolls either. I do not want to start an issue of censorship, nor do I want to start the my state is better than yours (hell I'm not even from here), or my dad can beat up your dad. I just ask that the asinine comments that serve no purpose to the topic at hand be kept to yourself. It's one thing to joke and to cut up but you guys just kept rolling with it.

I do find myself to be hypocritical in the fact that I even kept it going with my posts. I apologize as I did try to refrain from any name calling or belittling contrary to my previous post. This bashing of Texas Cobalts is as bad as the SRT/WRX/MSP/whatever car groups bashing the Cobalt community. All stated is my opinion as you are entitled to yours.

1998 was the second year of the C5 Corvettes and they had the LS1 factory rated at 345 horsepower (~307 rear wheel horsepower) and the factory time for the quarter mile was 12.4 at 115 mph.

z06's didn't come out until 2001 and they had 385 hp the first year and raised to 405 in '02. Hell, the hardtop the z06's were based upon didn't even come out until 1999.

Hell just Wed morning I raced a C5 Z06. Yes I lost too just like crow88 but I was surprised I hung at all. I figured he would leave me like im sitting still. Oh and I have owned a LS1 car too so I guess let the flame war begin with me too. Also everything I just said was true.

Yesterday I got to drive a 2006 Z-06 from work. Let me tell you.... OMFG that thing

is awesome. Have never driven a car that fast. Redlines at 7000, idles at 800 smooth as

silk. When the muffler bypass valves open its really loud and sounds awesome.

I downshifted into 2nd gear going 55 mph, floored it and it took about 3 seconds to go

to 110 (3rd gear). There is no way in hell my 2005 SS/SC could even come close to this

thing.

Now I want one but cant see spending $80,000!!!!!
