Perhaps some of the locals will chime in for you. You're kinda far away to make our local meets, but hopefully you can come out in April!

I see that... I've been checking the forums out, there's quite a few of the SCCA guys on there who I have great respect for, I've raced quite a few of them on-track.

Heck, it's been a while, it was some douche in an orange Civic (I think his name was Brad? Brian maybe?) I called him out for driving like an ass on I-10 near downtown, weaving, cutting people off, revving, and other assorted douchebaggery. The whole board pretty much turned on me like starving dogs on Alpo. This was probably 5 years ago.

Might have to come check it out anyway. I probably know half a dozen of the autocross guys, maybe more.

There's a car meet that currently meets at Buffalo Wild Wings on Kaliste Saloom, I've heard about it (got a few friends out that way) but I've never made it to one yet. I've been to some get togethers in Lake Charles (which is a bit far for me) and there's two in Thibodaux and Houma every month, starting this weekend.

You could make it to the Houma meet, it's pretty large, actually. Several SS/SC and SS/TC Cobalts out here. Plus me and my misfit Red Line.

 

I've heard a lot about houma, but I couldn't put my finger on a map and even remotely guess where it would be.

It's time to bring this back from the dead. April 26th is just around the corner and we're going to start planning for this. Bump!

 

but the one question i have i liked the whole going to the place were all the cars met up during the mobile thing...are we gonna be doing this for this meet? do we have anyone that knows where all the cars meet up and what not?

 

you mean like where everyone meets before hand and then rolls in together as on big j-body group or do you jut want to know where the meet is going down? Let me know what the plan is cause i can locate an area around town where th group can meet and then cruise over to the meet, or if we are all jsut going to show up whenever i can get you all directions to get there if you need them.

 

We'll be cruising over as a group. However, we was planning on meeting a couple guys over there and then cruising in together. I'll take any help I can get planning this stuff out. I know nothing about New Orleans.

I won't. That's on a sunday, which means work EARLY on Monday. I was just planning on meeting up in Gulfport as usual around 8 or so, cruise over to new orleans to meet whoever it was we was gonna meet, and then head over to this place where everyone is meeting at. The meet starts at 12 if I remember correctly. The people closer to NO probably know which meet I'm talking about. Lakefront Meet, put on by NOstreetracing.com or whatever.
