Hi guys, know it's been a while since I've been around. But I won't be making this meet... just had a head-on collision this morning so my car will be out of commission for at least a few weeks.
that sux, hope you didn't get hurt. i'm not gonna be able to make it either i just had my work hours change to seven days a week on second shift so i need to be taken off the list. on the bright side with the extra cash flow a new ride is soon to come.
wrx with bigger turbo right, LOL.
No one got hurt, we were both going too slow to even set off the airbags. Is the work schedule change permanent?
i got all four calipers painted red today... probably have some pics up tomorrow. that duplicolor stuff works dang good! cant wait till the meet on saturday, looks like the weather is supposed to be nice.

got it at Vato-Zone (j/k Auto-zone) for less than $20 for the kit... they have a few different colors, red, yellow, black, silver and blue. everything worked real well but the brush they give you is garbage so i would recommend going by an arts and crafts store and picking up a random same size brush. and the more you sand the calipers the better it looks, we started off with 220 grit and finished with 440 grit... nice and smoothe!

there is definately enough paint to do front calipers and rear drums, i did 3 healthy coats on all four calipers and still have around 1/2 of the paint left!!! they give you more than enough to do the job. as for the sandpaper, i picked it up at autozone aswell, just random assorted pack about notebook paper size. the whole preping and painting took around three hours max. the looks are definately worth the time. im postin up a how-to tomorrow with a crap ton of pics.
Yeah, so the accident = $3400 in damage to my car.. Ikes!
