it helps get a basic 4:1 ratio and helps you gain muscle mass because you're getting proper amount of protein before and after work outs.
it doesn't have any effect on doing it yourself, because without doing the work yourself the protein/caseine/creatine will do nothing but make you fat.
its capn biceps chiming in. jk you weigh like 130 lbs...lol. i would do what worked for me and back when i could workout and was actually in good shape i did it without taking any of that crap and got many compliments on doing it without supplements. going from 170lbs to 205 lbs and cut like a **** in just a few months proved to me i dont need any of that. this being mostly upper body too. i wouldnt do leg workouts cuz i have a bad back which i had to use a brace for while working out. its my view on things im not trying to convert anyone to stop taking any supplements or prevent them from taking any because i honestly dont care what people take. im just voicing out my opinioin.

yep 205. coming from 170 to 205 in about 2-3 months without taking any supplements is a pretty good deal for some people.

I see supplements as an energy booster. It helps you work out longer and give you energy. Steroids is just plain dumb. Makes you blow up like a balloon and some people break out and their veins pop out. And their pee pee gets smaller and your nipples start lactating. And if you take them for a very long period of time you don't live as long.

I wore a size 00 in pants in 9th grade and weighed 90 pounds. Then last December I was in a size 7 pants at 129 pounds and now I'm in a size 5 pants and weigh 114.

haha funny. i'm up to 140 now. i don't even weight train yet.
i started at 120. considering i have a personal trainer and a nutritionist i think i'd know how to eat and work out properly. i have a bad back as well. doesn't stop me. you can voice your opinion thats fine. i'm just saying supplements are nothing like steroids. steroids require no work to bulk up. supplements are just that...a supplement.

you can help "supplement" workouts by eating properly, which i doubt the majority of you all do. you want to gain weight? eat protein, eat lean fats, increase the amount of fruits and vegetable intake and the amounts of times you eat. that will raise your metabolism. you have to eat more to gain weight, however if you do nothing but eat **** food you'll gain it in all the wrong places.

i'm pretty happy with my "biceps" though and like i said I don't weight train yet. another 2 maybe 3 months and ill start that. this was taken today by my trainer.

My little brother in my fraternity is a personal trainer and I have a friend that I talked to alot when I was working out that is a nutritionist. They both told me that I dont need any of that **** to get bigger. I know exactly what to eat which is why I personally have never taken supplements.

Like i said I do have a bad back but the reason I never really did legs is because I hated it. I was satisfied with my legs at the time and didn't need them any bigger.

Ya 5 years ago when I met my boyfriend he weighed 115 pounds at 5'8 and he was 17. And now he's 23 and weighed 175. Just buy taking protein and vitamins. And I think he takes something else. He lost like 20 pounds this month and is at 155 because his shoulder. He can't work out much. Only surgery can fix it.

i never said you had to take supplements to get bigger. i said it wasn't like steroids.
as for you quoting me and highlighting the most important part....either you're talking out of your ass for ***** and giggles or you're just really ignorant but thats how you become healthy. i'm talking about the part you bolded.

5 days a week after my classes which got out like at 9pm. 3-4 hour workouts.

im 5'9 - 5'10. more like 5'10 i guess but yeah 205 was too much for me. I felt like huge compared to my friends.

biceps when i started at 170 were 13 inches. around when i was at 205 i had them at 19 inches.

Like I said. Not everyone can gain weight on their own.
