Last night about 6:00 or so on the Beltway 8 Feeder and Kempwood I saw a Blue ( did not look Navy Blue ) HHR SS with a Wisener of Huntsville plate frame and a beginning plate # of MRP , which I thought was kinda funny ( you know - MSRP ).


Is it anybody here ?

Too dark to really tell who was driving it or give a thumbs up.

I was behind it at a light, and he wound up behind me at the next light.

Where do I begin......the noodle header is a long since discussed topic that's been proven to just be a bad thing for lsj's....but the short answer is: you'll lose horsepower. The concept of an equal length exhaust manifold suits more a turbocharged platform where exhaust flow is crucial to how efficient your turbo runs. For supercharged platforms, a straight shot out is all you need.

The fact that there is nothing "performance" related about a breather filter on the oil cap after you've been explained that it serves a performance related function shows that you're incapable of accepting decent enough knowledge and doing things properly. JDM doesn't work on these cars...it's not a civic. But by all means, keep ******* your car up....it doesn't bother me one bit. Just do everyone here a favor and keep your advice to yourself.

Aye guys long time since i been on here. Ive done a few major mods to my car. (hope to put up pics soon) full leather interior swap thanks to TurboSmart also did a custom cloth door insert to leather to match the seats. Totally a PITA but looks goid now that its done.
On another note. We started my supercharge build today. Have everything pulled off an started puttin on the supercharger items. Had to stoo for the night as ive lost the alternator bracket bolts. Fml lol.
2.9 with 42#rs/ phenolic spacer/ dual pass/ opt b/ dual heat exchangers/ Ported an polished inlets/ with also the ls4 throttle body. Ill post updates as i can.

 

the ls4 might be a little overkill, but otherwise sounds like a good build. Who is going to be your tuner?

I already knew the header makes the lsj lose power....I just said I wanted to hear it.

Also i never said anything about a breather on the oil cap. Talking about a vc breather which I thought gave no gains in power or performance. I thought it was just to let vc breathe and not get too hot but apparently if you don't have one you get those "blow bys" which is oil going into pistons and such? I was watching fast and furious on tnt when I was reading so I wasnt paying much attention. I hadnt looked into what they do I just assumed it was that whole breathing thing.

But...from the small amount of "research" that I did...in which you did pop out in those threads too mexi..imma make me a catch can. Its time for me to get a new filter cuz mine is dirty as heck and saw that so figure why not try it out. Going with the home depot mod lol. I dont need a breather on the catch can right? I read something like that from another site and it confused me. I only needa get the air compressor filter and thats it?

I actually spent all day yesterday putting it back together. I say all day cuz I had to stop what I was doing cuz my brothers wife messed her fender up on her fusion and he brought it to my house to take it off and straighten it a little while he gets a new one.

But yeah I had been waiting on parts most of this time lol. I got a lsj intake now cuz I believe a big problem I had was the crappy sri that zzp sends and I also switched my belt routing setup from zzps idler crap to the lsj setup. Made a catch can for it also and switched windshield fluid spot. Also made my maf extension longer a lot longer lol. I put everything back together but I forgot to put in maf extension and I was too tired to do it so I just said ill do it another day. Oh and got a new tb too lol.

sc build went very smoothly but vince is saying that the ls4 wont work well with my l61 2.2 motor so I need to swap this ls4 throttle body for an lsj throttle body if anyone has one that they would be willing to trade.? my tb is working and my car drives (half a**) but id like to trade a member that has an lsj since the tb will work with that ECU. I also need a lsj Cold air intake since the one I bought was junk (cough cough turbosmart lol) I need these parts as soon as you can sell them to me. thanks in advance and just text me so we don't gotta wait to reply on here. 903 948 0075
