I'm new too the thread since I just picked up a orange LT. Sorry I don't have a SS S/C but I would be down for a track day at ennis. Oh and Im in north dallas as well.

 

temple has a racetrack thats 1/4 and at a smaller venue so i imagine it would be cheaper. theyre doing the harley drags there this weekend. academy dragway. its centralized if your more interested in getting a place between houston san ant and dallas.

 

first off, FastPace you are more than welcome to come out man. youre stiill a cobalt none the less.
and guys, this might not even happen this month cause i want this to be a really worth while meet. not something that ends up being really gay and a waste of time. we have to really coordinate this thing well. Ill put temple on the poll as well and see what everyone thinks, doesnt sound to bad to me actually.

the dealer cant put it together right. tranny keeps breaking. anyway we wanna try to keep the meet in the general direction of the track. grapevine and ft. worth are in the complete opposite direction by at least an hour.

 

I would recommend Hooters Dallas, but that hooters is ghetto as hell. The women that work there will turn tricks for tip money (probably). I liked the last track meet (if I remember) Twin Peaks followed by a run up to Denton dragway, only problem with that is that its only an 1/8th track. Would be nice to do a 1/4 mile track just for ***** and grins. Did they give Vaughn a time table for when he'll get his car back? He should just tell them to install a heavy duty tranny in there and be done with it.......

 

Nah that one is far from Ghetto. Goto the one in Atlanta.

The 1/4th mile track in Ennis is the best track in the area. If you guys wanna make some runs that is the place to go. 1/8th mile tracks are like getting half way to a nut during sex and then stopping and taking a cold shower.

ya i had to go up there and help them disassemble the 3rd time, me and the tech got the trans out and case apart in 1 hour 45 mins

2nd gear broke, then they put it together wrong which ate 5th, then it was good then the reverse shaft walked its way down and sheared the spring

no end in site, but no issues with warranty on any parts

oh and theyre eating 2386.90 in rental fees alone

 

sup fellas.. im new here and i ran into dragonsfire on ss.net.... so i'm down for whatever... i'm from san antonio... houston aint to far for me to drive.. i have a friend in dallas i could crash wit if we go there.... unles u want to find a neutral spot between dfw, htown, and sa town? just a thought.

well the votes still say dallas by a lot so for now that is what we are going with. as far the date, that is undetermined still, but it will for sure be on a friday or saturday, preferably a saturday.

 

If we do the Ennis thing, maybe we should find out if we'd get a discount if we get a block of rooms in Ennis. I'd stay the night there and drive back home the next day. Ennis is a good drive from Denton.
