ok guys i have an update. i am gonna call to check the date for sure, but it looks like OCTOBER 13, 2006 there is a "Fast Friday" at Ennis Texas Motorplex. It starts at 7pm and goes till MIDNIGHT This night is open to anyone that wants to race. the cost is $15 for racing and i believe $5 to watch. they do student discounts as well if im not mistaken.
September is a big month for pro events and plus PINKS is there a couple weekends, so that interferes with the schedule. hopefully everyone can make this date. please post if you cannot!
For those who have to work during the day, you can just meet everyone at the track if you would like, or YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO GET OFF THAT DAY!!!!!!. for those who dont have to work, we could meet up at a restaraunt lot there in Ennis and grab some food, as well as chill in the lot and scope out all the cars.
im up for suggestions, hopefully this works for everyone.

 

I'd be interested to go to that. I haven't done any 1/4 mile runs yet.

Yeah, Friday sucks....but it might keep others away as well...I'll try, but I doubt it since I am going to days starting this monday....

 

I will definetly be there. If anyone needs anything or needs to know anything I live about 10 minutes north of the Motorplex so hollar at me.

 

How about a non event night so then everybody and their brother isnt there and we each only get 2 runs. I've driven there for a fast friday night deal in the past and only was able to get in 2 runs.

 

Not true it's Test and Tune unlimited runs you might be thinking of when Pinks was here it was only 2 runs.

 

No, it was unlimited runs but there were a BUNCH of people there. The staging lanes were basically a parking lot.

 

Can't make it, the State Fair F-body Day is the 14th and I'll be cleaning cars Friday night.

 

Damn, I didn't even look at a calendar. I work friday nights as well.

 

well guys that is just one date, we can always change it to something else. ill keep checking and ill shoot for a saturday.

also the number of people there just depends on the night. i have never had a problem in the past when i went on a friday night. usually i get in 7-10 runs.
