tune in texas
we have been doing it pretty big recently down here with many cars of all sorts. I hang around a bunch of evos, cobras, vettes, and other pretty quick cars. i know i wont get as fast as them by just a tune but i like to be up there so when i do get i challenge, i have a better chance.
no the car is fine. it just the thing of the heat soaking and i just switched out to a 2.8. i always have a bunch of runs on the weekends with other cars and i want it to be running top notch as soon as i can.

Cameron blew his motor over a year ago doing back to back runs, and had an awesome tune in it, and even ran good gas and all. You have to watch yourself. I raced an SRT-4 until he blew his motor, because he didn't understand heatsoak either, and I laughed about it for months.
Why a drop in filter? Save the money for something else. I'd rather see you buy drugs than a K&N drop in filter for the SS/SC.

Wait a minute, do you understand heat soak? You WILL damage your motor doing multiple pulls. These cars take 10-15 minutes to cool down properly, and that's with just normal driving. If you park them they will stay hot for about an hour. If you do a pull, then do another pull like a minute later you should expect the IAT2 temps to skyrocket above 200*. When I dyno tune we bring bags of ice etc, and wait between runs.

You should see the second runs temps. When I put these things on the dyno they are usually happy at a 130-140* IAT2 temp, then first pull gets it up around 194*, then the next pull maxes out the IAT table around 225* and can keep going. Welcome to Ringland Failure. Just warning you of the dangers of "Cruising with my homies".
with me, u , rico, and dragonsfire, Dystrctred, thats 5, and i think another guy from our club would do it also.. how much longer u need? all i need is to install my dp, exhaust and mounts and im good to go. maybe we should start setting a date.
I guess I could get a tune for now, I don't see me being boosted anytime soon. Since I'm gonna buy that kenwood in dash screen in july. SO yeah count me in!!! I would love to be low 15's at the track
Headunit vs. Supercharger........... I would think that's an easy answer.....I guess not.

my club only has 2 as of now that are active, but we already have the program and a seperate laptop for all of our info as it is. 3 of us already have our credits. Im looking more for dyno tuning tho, would you be able to do that?
k thx i was told it was a 32 mm that would work to so yea
. i changed it all already yesterday wit something else it was a pain but got it done lol but now ill have the right socket and all for next ime

Honestly I haven't done much dyno work, more street tuning. My friend in NC did all the pull tuning on my car.
so you don't have much experience with tuning then? i dont mind street tuning since it seems more "real", but id prefer dyno tuning
I just did another car yesterday, so I'm getting awfully close to 80 cobalts on my list. I ported his supercharger, swapped his pulley, installed injectors, installed adjustable tensioner (hate those), replaced belt, and tuned his car.
And if you've ever been arrested for street tuning, then you'll be like me and stick it on the dyno. It's not worth doing anything insanely stupid.

Then probably should get some more experience before tuning so many other cars. You'll need some experience with different setups, and the ability to diagnose existing problems with peoples cars that they may or may not be aware of.
Dyno tuning is great for dialing in AFRs and getting the satidfaction of seeing hoe much power your car makes. Street tuning is good for putting the car under realistic load stress. Like when you have 2-3 people in the car. The dyno does not properly replicate the stress from the weight of the vehicle.

I was half thinking this was going to be a Rick Roll.
How did your car get dyno tuned in North Carolina?

so wut would it take to get u down to san antonio? Say we shoot for like mid-end of july to give people a chance to get mods finished up.... we already have the program and everything so we'd just need to use a dyno. i know of a couple that would be good to go.
