JBThrasher,

You need to check out the update on the BNR thread for your answer to whether or not the BNR 2871 is worth it.

alright guys, I think I did pretty good:

2001 Cavalier Z/24
2.4L automatic
86,000 miles
sunroof, etc.
he wanted $3500 for it, I gave him $3000 cash and drove it home

its a lot nicer than other cars I had looked at and is perfect for what I want it for, to get me to work and back home... now the Cobalt can get a stouter clutch and come corn juice!

wasn't really looking to get another ecotec but these engines are solid, so it should last me a while

I filled it up in Hazlegreen for $42.00(from almost E) and the gas hand barely moved to below F for the entire hour and a half drive back home, plus I can run 87, so it'll save me a lot of money going back and forth to work while allowing me to keep the Cobalt clean and low on miles

why an auto? because I found a car with less than 90,000 miles for $3k cash that is American...

I didn't buy it to look good, I bought it for Point A to Point B without being Jap Scrap, the day I buy a Japanese anything you can say they don't make American cars anymore, and all the used ones have been bought up... in other words, not in my lifetime

had it been a 5-speed, I would have bought it... for the price I paid and as nice of a car as it is inside and out, I think I got a steal on it, already had someone offer to buy it from me for the original $3500 in my neighborhood, which is $500 more than I paid for the car

there is your key word... dont even get me started on how f*cked up Japanese car manufacturers is just supplying assembly jobs while importing every thing else, and by everything... I mean everything, even the god damn steel used to put their plants up... that is right you got a steel plant in Mobile Alabama yet when the V8 plant went up in Huntsville for Toyota, those f*ckers flew their steel in from China(not even Japan, f*cking China)... so **** the Toyota, Honda, Nissan, etc.

the Cobalt was built in Ohio using an engine that was built in Spring Hill, Tn. using parts that were built here in the U S of A

there is my rant for the month... I tend to get pissed about people buying foreign ****, especially when their next line is about how bad the economy is.............

i buy foreign. But my cobalt was a POS and really messed me up on domestics.

my 1990 civic with 270k was a better car reliability wise than the cobalt. and my 2 imports have been better than my cobalt. IDC about where it was assembled built or anything. GM is turning record profits, so obviously my opinion isnt hurting their feelings.

and Paul i'm thinking I might go with the BNR upgrade now... the results look very promising... will probably try to get with Terminator or BYT for tuning on it though... going to have to step the clutch up and it'll probably be fall/winter before I make a move, have a vacation to pay for etc., this summer

the work car has now opened a lot of doors for the Cobalt, lol

well i mean i agree, and i do care about this economy and my country, dont take what im saying as that. BUT imo my scions interior and quality was steps ahead of my cobalts, and then my civics (mind you i have a "premium model") is better still.

BBBUUUUTTTT
Hondas new civic is very fail IMO and toyota has NOTHING in the sport compact market worth mentioning. Mazda is basically Ford and the Mazdaspeed3 breaks at the drop of a hat. Hyundai is doing some good things but i just cant swallow buying a Korean car.

I guess what im saying is right this moment in the new car "sport compact" genre there is absolutely nothing worth buying. lol. Domestic or Import.

Why Term or BYT?

You weren't at the last meet to ride in mine Everyone else did though

In Josh's words, your car is alot faster then mine and that was with the ride with 3 peps plus me in the HHR SS. We were pushing a little over 4k lbs, if you include everyones weight plus the vehicle weight.

Any how you would be set as far as Vince, he has all my tuning on the BNR 2871 with and without the MAF relocate for base files now.

I think if you had my power in your coupe it would be down right scary to be honest.

You should tune with Vince first because it will only cost you $75 and see if its enough power since your already on Trifecta.

in his defense, he was pretty lit, lol

I guess you have to know him for that to be funny, but him singing the bass made me laugh, and still makes me laugh watching it, like for example at 2:17
