May 19th and July 28th, Koss Motorsports/Alabama Drift are putting on 2 kick ass events in Huntsville at the Huntsville Stars Stadium, they are saying these will be their 2 biggest events ever

supposed to be some pretty elite drifters there, not just the local scene

also March 31st, the Speakerbox in Huntsville is having a huge meet, expecting over 100 cars as well

low/mid 12s or bust when I go back, lol... if I could run 12.3-12.4s PRE the stall and DRs, i'd be happy... i'm shooting for 11s with bolt-ons... people have already did it and the L99 is the easiest way to do it(you got to be a KICK ASS driver to do it with a Ls3, have a stall and an automatic to assist you with a L99)

people talk about how much "slower" the L99 is compared the LS3 when both cars are stock.... about the time we get a tune, that argument ends, lol

So I run into an '03 Cobra tonight, and its loud as hell sitting at the light in front of me... I mean one of those times where you know you are about to get absolutely destroyed, but will enjoy every second of it, yeah, that loud... so as we take off I guess he noticed me behind him and he switches lanes but we hit another red light with cars already lined up at it... I hear a horn honk and see a tinted window start to roll down... a good friend of mine named Doug(has had SEVERAL mustangs over the year, and fast cars in general, he is the one I almost bought the D1SC Procharged GTO from, which is a good thing I didn't he ended up selling it and it made it until mid December and destroyed the differential and axles, lol)... I haven't seen him in a while and he asks me if I've done anything to the Camaro... we talk until the light turns green and head on out into town, I kept trying to get a place to get a quick run in but it was a no go... we hit another light and he rolls the window down to tell me the car sounds good... I ask him what's done to his, he tells me 3.73s, an x-pipe, uncatted mids, headers... and I then say "a 2.8" pulley?" he laughs and says "did you know this is just a GT?".. turns out he bought the car wrecked, and bought a guy we know named Shannon's stock parts off his Cobra, I mean EVERY piece has been replaced, the rear fascia, etc. to make it look identical to a cobra(its even lowered on the Cobra Rs), its just slow as ****, lol......FOR NOW, but don't think it will be that way for long, he has 4-valve out of a Cobra getting some Kenne Bell work in his shop as we speak... so its going to be hauling ass in a few weeks(maybe a month or so), I just thought it was funny how it was loud as hell and I was expecting to get walked, but it was just a slow 2-valve, lol....

he isn't one to ricer up a mustang, he told me he had the engine being built looking to put it in something before he bought that car... he was going to get a fox body but found the wrecked GT which had cosmetic damage only, NO mechanical... but both the rear bump and front nose were busted on it... Shannon told him he could pretty much "fix" the car using his stock cobra parts and Doug could have them cheap... being as how he had the s/c 4.6L getting built it wouldn't even be a sheep in wolves clothing for long, because i'm sure he'll remember me waxing him tonight and will return the favor before long, lol

 

So been thinking I might go Turbo this summer

it started with one video, and has become that...

it all got started when he said Vince's tune were crap and were eating 6L80es, in which case I simply asked for proof....and got none, lol

then when I pointed out that I didn't think vince's tunes were bad, that he was just trying to put down the competition(I.e. couldn't provide facts) he got butt hurt... then he starts boasting about how fast his truck is.... but then I find out on E85(a 112 octane blend), full-bolt on, Ported Throttle body, and his tune... he is trapping what my car runs STOCK and has only been in the 12s: once, lol

I wasn't looking to start a fight with him, but he wanted to put on his big boy pants

i'm glad we have this topic, or I would have left this board long ago, lol

 

i need an off day to put a freaking motor in....bitch has been together for over 2 week's....

also....thinking of venturing out on my own after we buy a house...start the ******* renovation/repair/roofing company ive always said i was going too...always joked about the name "Gud Enuf Conscruction"

im banned from that martini bar next to nana funk's as of 1am this morning....as well as my wife and 6 more of my buddies...

we ended up breaking a table, a chair, some ash tray's a couple of glass bottle's, i threw up ALL over there toilet....

ahhh 8 beer's, 2 shot's of jager, 2 shot's of whiskey....the worst part of the night was having to drive home with a sherrif beside me the whole way home (5 miles :/)
