going on Saturday, have some ACDelco plugs coming this week as well, going to change them while I can get easy access to the valve cover, have 20,000 on the stock plugs and with the tune, they are probably past due for changing
got a good deal on that IC piping, Autoanything had 10% off all Injen parts, normally $212 shipped, got it for $190.80 shipped, can't beat that... got some T-bolts from siliconeintakes, basically got them for free in the savings I got with the 10% off....
going to wait about 3-4 weeks before I send my car off... going to have to store my car in my dad's shop at his house on jack stands while the wheels are gone and he doesn't have room for it right now... but he should be done with his project by then...

Got my crazy steve IC (don;t get me started on what I had to do/mod to get it to fit) and dejon pipes put on monday myself. I was all set to put on my new wheels and realized I ordered the friggin 3.25" long ARP's So I reordered the correct length I needed, arrived today.
Only thing left are rims and the ZZP catless DP (was waiting on the TSB to be done), HHR is going in tomorrow for the TSB on the oil leaks. After that I just need a decent day to get those rims and down pipe on and I'll be set for the meet.
laserblue2006, enjoy them, they grow up quick
SILVERCOBALT09, You can either go Trifecta, buy HPT and have a knowledgeable person on this site help you out tuning, or find someone and drive to them. If you didn't know, Wickedss2005 is coming to the meet in Nashville and plans on tuning for a small fee, might want to throw him a PM. I believe hes coming down a day early (or was) to start tuning.

new mod:
and I changed my plugs, god damn they were way past due, lol... I actually have all my power back and didn't realize just how my car was running compared to where it SHOULD be... also the new charge piping sounds sick, didn't think the sound would change that much with it... here are my stock plugs, they got owned by 20+ psi, lol:

vht nightshade... not too hard to do...
if you use it, make sure you get the tail lights nice and clean before you start, then use a sandpaper to "rough them up" a little so the paint will stick better(you'll sand this out later)... I also taped off my reverse light cover to keep them clear.... use LIGHT coats, very light, this stuff is water thin... you can always add more coats but its EASY to run... I just did about 3 coats, it takes 5-6 to "black them out"... I didn't want that though, I wanted the smoked look.... after you are happy with the darkness of them(let them dry before you judge)... add a coat of automotive clear coat, after it dries, add another... then wet sand that 2nd coat to smooth it all out... i'm by no means a "painting expert" but I didn't have too hard of a time with it:
before and after:
that is an old pic, the 3rd brake light is smoked now, just used a vinyl overlay for it, matches nicely

well, i'm tired of waiting on those Continentals to get in stock, so i'm just going to go with these:
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...w=false&cs=245
don't know if i'll be able to get them mounted before the meet or not... those are a little softer anyway, and have gotten good reviews... i'm rough on tires anyway, if they make it a year and a half for me, I did good... I'll bet I have the slickest tires on a Cobalt in Alabama right now, lol... when my dad and I were putting my charge piping on he gave me **** over it, lol... looked at the back and said "those are fine, its just the front"... but he's cool about things like that, he isn't gullible and won't say a word, he was raising just as much hell with is cars back in the day
Silver09, you should meet HHRSSouth and I in Athens and go to the ecotec meet with us this Saturday

Hey there's a dyno day thing going on at trackmasters in Huntsville, $40 for 3 pulls Saturday (Feb. 20th) morning before the meet. I'm gonna get up and be down there by 9 am to see what line looks like, If its not to bad I'm gonna get the HHR dyno'd before the meet. All this is subject to weather conditions of course.
