yeah I actually had every intention of going to that one, but got sidetracked at home cleaning the car. I was there in spirit, LOL

Lol. I should be getting my car in the next week or two *knock on wood* then we should shoot Clay (CobaltDude06) a message and try and get another one going because I see Balts all the time but none of them are on here. So it's just whatever I just think it would be a cool idea.

Ok well i went shopping for a car tonight. We were negotiating with them and told them that we couldn't go over $20k out the door and had worked them down to 21k. They finally said they couldn't go any lower and we said ok call us if you reconsider and left. Maybe they will call and maybe they won't. Either way the hunt continues.

which dealership? I had pretty good luck at Chuck Hutton Chevy. I found the exact car I wanted via GM's website, and had worked out the price (guaranteed, and in writing) before I even went to see the car.

Thats where it is. They said they couldn't go lower but it's been there for 7 or 8 months so I'm gonna wait a week or so and give them a call and see if they will do $19k+ttl. Hopefully they will bite. Now that I've been in it and driven it I can't see myself driving anything else. I want it so badly, but I'm going to be patient and hopefully they will come around.

I dealt with Eddie the internet sales guy when I bought my 07 LT. At the time they had 20% off all of the leftover 07's but I think I got a few hundred off of that. Wanting to say the sticker was right at $16K but I got it for $12,800, plus tax, title etc....

not trying to burst your bubble or anything but have you priced out insurance on that car? Anything you are making payments on requires more insurance until it's paid off. My LT would cost me around 100/month if it was my only car and I'm female over 35. I know an SC or TC would be even more, especially for a young male. If you find a good deal on a used one, you still have to pay the same insurance as long as you're making payments, but since the cost is lower you will pay it off quicker and then be able to reduce your insurance rates.

again, not trying to preach.... BTW my father in law is a former car salesman so he helps remind me of stuff I would not have thought about. He's a lawyer now. Not sure which is worse, LOL.

is this a yellow coupe by some chance?

Just keep being patient like you are doing. If its been there that long they are probably tired of having it since it doesn't make them money sitting there. The longer its there the more they will be willing to deal.

Have you found any similar cars at other dealers? See if you can get one of them to give you a better price even if its not the exact car you want then go back to this place and tell them I got a better price from this other place. I'll buy yours if you can beat that price. Gotta love the benefits of living in a larger city.

Yeah i got woken up this morning and was told to get a shower and get dressed and thats all. We ended up at the dealership and i was given two sheets of paper with comparable cars on it and was told to call and check the prices on the other two and if they couldn't do any better that we would go back to chuck hutton. We did and got it for $22k out the door. I'm so happy. I will post pictures tomorrow probably.

Here is the link to my pics thread.

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/lounge-42/new-cobalt-owner-finally-196308/

If it's not too cold tomorrow I'm going to have to wash it because the parking lot was wet at work tonight and I ended up with a little mud on my fender. Then once it's washed it'll be time to take some better pics.

black is way worse to keep clean than white, an hour after i wash it it needs to be washed again.
