Anyone want to do a Carolina Meet?
It seems like we've got a fair number of guys in the Carolinas but no orginization... I'm thinking we need to get everyone together in Charlotte, NC in the coming months... I say charlotte just because its central to everyone... the guys in the mountains wont be driving 9hrs and the guys down in Charleston wont either... Outter Banks guys... sorry but you life in BFE...
So heres what i'm thinking... a mid June meet up in Charlotte on a Saturday afternoon or evening. Depending on what you guys are all down for we could set something up at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Concord fairly easily and they'll block off part of the lot for us if we ask. It's something like 1.5 miles away from the speedway and drag strip, too. Concord Mills is just across the highway as well.

so, how about we just do it June 18th then? i know the local autox here usually ends around 3:30-4 so we can setup a meet at Quaker Steak after? I just emailed them and I am waiting to hear back from their event coordinator... I know the Quaker near me gives the car clubs a hook up on food when they are there so maybe they'll do the same for us in NC...

at the time i posted I it was 20 mins before it, I live 3 mins from it lol. And it was called on shitty rain, which was fine for me, enabled me to do practice with everyone for this weeks race for Formula 1 in my online racing league I am apart of.

The goodthing about this is you can turn around and go home that night... CED is a helluva drive and honestly if people are willing to do CED then theyll be up for a much shorter trip to keef with their local peeps. I've already contacted the quaker in concord and am currently awaiting a response... I'm actually at the Quaker here in greenville,sc about to talk to the manager here.

One thing though...people are saving up for the funds to go to CED...move it to July or something...orrrr Lets get all the NC guys to meet up and go to CED

I got there and was like....fml. oh well.
yea, everyone was dropping out and texting me minutes before I was gonna go up and see if people were coming so I said screw it. We'll have to exchange numbers or something so you dont have another one of them things and drive for nothing, sorry about that. I am going to see what everyone who normally comes thinks about this friday, I believe the South21 cruise in might be this friday too so could be a double header, the south 21 cruise in hella bigger and has lots of old cars, its like 2 mi's down the road just off of I485, or it might be the 1st friday of the month, I dont remember.
