The only person I know that tuned through HPT was Matt, but I think he said he was done tuning Cobalts. Me and a buddy are going to pick up software pretty soon and start remote tuning people through HPT.

 

well looks like ill be doin this after i get married. gotta save up the money to pay for the weddin before i do anything else to the car. good thing i kept the tunin cable. about how much would someone charge to tune it with HPTuners?

 

I had term2 do it down in FL. I think I remember it was 350. Been a while. Then you need someone local with HPTuners that can put the tune file on your car and do some data logging.

And doing what with it? Burning my motor down? You're paying for his experience, expertise, knowledge, and time. There's a lot of value in that.

Anyone local to Fayetteville....or anywhere in NC actually have a Trifecta cable that I could use to do some datalogging to send to Vince and have him update the Trifecta tune?

If I could borrow someones it'd be better than dropping $100 on a one or two use time thing, ya know?

 

Nate, do you still have the yellow balt? I saw it at Walmart one day about a week ago. As for the Trifecta Cable, I know someone but he hasn't been able to get ahold of Vince, have you?

Rick! What's up bud! I do, well, technically I do...can't drive it since I'm in AIT, but I have my mom take it out for me a few times a week so the tires and fluids keep moving instead of sitting there. Trying to sell it for $6,900 OBO if you know anyone in the market.

Not sure if I told you, but I did secure that Victory Red LNF. Apparently it was Trifecta tuned, but now it's back to GMS1/stock; but since it's been paid for previously, the VIN is in Vince's system so I can have him email me a tune, upload it then datalog, email him back and see what he can do. I ordered an K&N SRI, in really good shape...can't wait to get home so I can finally drive an LNF, for about an hour with just the catback, then throw the SRI on and hear that psshhh sound I've wanted to always have, haha.

I need to get my hands on a catless DP too, keep your eyes peeled for me man! Charge piping too...maybe? We shall see.

I get home November 30th, hopefully around 7:30/8:00PM, I got my leave paperwork the other day, get 14 days of HRAP (free leave haha) and taking 7 days of charged leave, so I'll be home in Fayetteville for 3 weeks. We should catch up dude!

Sad but true - that seems to be the norm with the Cobalt community.

 

That's the norm with the car scene. Everyone always says "yea, I'll be there" but never show up. I'm not going to go through the trouble of setting up a meet when only 5 people show up. It's just not worth it to me.
