Dyno Day
Dyno Day
For everybody in the Charlotte and surrounding areas. Tomorrow, 10/21/2006 there will be a dyno day on Mint St. near the Stadium. If you PM I will call the guy and get the exact place again.
Well the guy that is doing the dyno does dyno days every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. He has a portable dyno and travels to companies. He works for Pro Dyno. A guy at my work said he is really good, but he specializes in Ford not GM. But I have the name and number of a guy that he said is really good and specializes in GM. So hopefully he will call me today and I can ask some questions. I was going to go to CP Racing but found out they were out of business....
Any more on this? Did you talk to the GM guy who does Dyno tunes? I need to have my car tuned for the 60# injectors I have just sitting on the shelf. That would be worth driving the 6 hours to go to Charlotte.

Yea, me and Silverstreak are going to go see him on Tuesday. He is dynoing two Sky's that day, and hopefully he will dyno and tune mine. His name is Alvin Anderson and works for PCM for Less. He has only done one other Cobalt, but he only dyno's GM's so he is good at it. If you want some more information, you can pm me and I will let you know more about him Dynoing your car. Let me know what you have done to your car and I will let him know what you have done to your car and tell him that you may come up. His # here in Charlotte is 704-307-4227 if you want to give him a call. But I will let him know you are interested when I see him on Tuesday. later.
Yea sorry, I went there about 7:00 and I thought Alvin was going to be there. But it turned out he was not going to be there until 9:30 or 10:00 and he still had two Saturn Skys to dyno. Since I was the only one there I did not feel like sitting around for 2 hours or more waiting on him. I will pm you tonight when I get home with his number so you can call him and discuss it with him, since that would be the best thing to do anyway. I can tell you, that before you dyno tune it you have to do some work on your heat exchange or the coolant reservoir. These cars get really bad heat soak, so you need to at least buy the LFP reservoir so you can hold more fluid and add ice during your dyno tune. And buying a dual pass or the cobra heat exchange would be really good too.
I'm going to Japan for 3 years so I don't see myself dumping too much more money into this car before I head out. While I would like to do the things you mentioned it's not going to be worth my time as I'm thinking of doing the LS1 thing or Turbo. For now I just want to get those 60#ers in and that 2.8 on and tuned. I guess I'll call him for prices and see what he has to say. I wish you guys would have gotten tuned so I'd have a little feed back on the how the operation goes. Thanks for everything so far.
